I believe you are asking this because you have the intention of promoting your channel.

Well, here is what you need to do:


1. If your news posts maut have over 70% chances of hitting front page then make sure you post news (videos and posts) from a reliable source not Youtube or your Youtube channel directly.

E.g Punch, thisday, sahara reporters, vanguard, BBC, Aljazeera and co.

Even if you should post your YouTube videos here about something trending, make sure you link the back to the actual/main post on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and the likes that carries the actual vide (where you manufactured the main news from).

2. If you intend creating random content make sure it's a new or unique content that is either educating, informative, motivational or inspirational or all combined.

Note: It must be unique and way different from your usual generic contents.

E.g you can look through the content of Samantha124 to have a glimpse of what I'm talking about.

3. Snake threads also hit front page but make sure it's real. I don't really know about other animals but I'm certain when it comes to snakes.

4. Personal life stories that requires validation and suggestion seeking also hits front page (If you mods honestly thinks you sound real).

Please don't fake it like someone suggested up there. We wouldn't like you decieving us with fake stories just to hit front page. Most of us find it stupid.

5. Threads seeking for just answers and suggestions on what to either purchase, opt for (cars, mobile phones, job applications etc) or do also hits front page.

6. Looking up your competitors style of content would also help. I will advice doing it like them and doing it early (model their style of content and be first to post it on Nairaland).

A little fact/expo
I believe this also works for youtube as early birds with a constant repetitions of certain keyword as tags and headline in high demand and who also who creates videos regularly/consistently usually gets better ranking.

I once posted something before this guy, thinking I had it all figured out. For my mind I don catch am today. Hours later, guess who swoops in with the same exact post? Mr. Front Page King himself. Cook up stories that never happened, especially stories from personal angles that aims to seek advice or help.

It's easy to hit front-page once you understand the kind of posts that creates engagement.
