I saw this on one status on my WhatsApp. I giggled. This is the height of phariseeship. The hunger to defraud unsuspecting persons using the name of God has become dominant.

Nowadays, you can see fifteen different churches in one storey building shouting differently.


Little wonders one church sacked her pastors for not generating taxes..sorry, I mean tithes.


We are so religious in this country yet very vile, and underdeveloped. Everyday, we yell “god forbids” even to things he never forbade..to prove our being overly righteous.. We command “back to sender” when we are also evil.


Or we come here on Nairaland to see “amens” to our promotional scripture quotes for mere likes and shares.... or seek congregants to “pray for” so that our bank account can smile...even when we know Jesus taught us to pray already.


We tell our congregants that givers never lack..when we are the receivers but when they need help, they can go to God.


We tell them to bring their first fruits of their harvest. Yes, we fry the chicken with the kitchen glories, and send part of the tithes to our children in school while the widower drinks his garri in tom-foolery waiting for the appointed time.

We have left the main course Jesus came on earth and digressed to the latest trends to extorting tithes and offerings from our members by throwing crusades every now and then. What's now the difference between the church and hip-pop artistes?



We are pastors.


We called ourselves.


We are humans too.

We have to eat!

Ok, this is what I do.

I write (I am not a great writer, but I get by) on crypto-based blogs and earn crypto.

Then I play Blockchain based games and earn daily too.

Believe it or not, people are earning money by merely having fun in their house, in this Nigeria.

If writing is what you can do, I can guide you. But if it's not your thing, you can play the game and build a good income source.
