If the law says NDDC should be independent, so should it be interpreted. However, for the National Assembly to create a Commission as an appendage of a MINISTRY, any COURT that goes on to try to confer independence on such an AGENCY is a rogue COURT and that JUDEG should not only be SACKED from the JUDICIARY but also denied any severance allowances & PENSION.

But on a serious note, NDDC is an Interventionist Agency, created by an Act the National Assembly.
It's supposed to be reporting direct to the Presidency just like NEMA, Ecological Fund Office etc.
Placing it under a Ministry is creating layers of bottleneck and bureaucracy that will not only impede on performance but also engender pilfering of public funds.

This is the first time I'm hearing the name of this senator in the National Assembly.
