Hi everyone.

The assessment was quite rigorous yesterday and quite professional.

There were 5 major exercises done yday.
1. Group Discussion
2.Slide preparation/ Oral presentation
3. Logical and Numerical reasoning
4. Competency-based interview
5. Written essay.

The written essay(20mins),slide preparation (20mins),oral presentation(10mins) and group discussion(20mins) go hand in hand cuz it will border arnd same topic.
You'd be presenting on whatever topic given to you as a group. you'd also be writing an essay on the topic.
Our topic was abt recession and how to find solutions


The Logical and numerical reasoning also took 20 mins each. Basic stuffs y'all shud know so dnt fret.

we also had ds career inventory form to fill.

Although, we started fully arnd 3pm we left arnd 7:40pm.

All in all, I was really impressed with FBN's level of professionalism.

I'm yet to get the AC date too. Maybe we should start calling HCP from Monday cos next Saturday, 22nd, will make it six weeks o. And they never mentioned anything like extension.

I have been reading this thread for some time now , I equally got both emails from HCP and I've been quite worried as I'm yet to receive the actual Invite for the assessment test.

However, reading this post now I think its clear that invites have been sent to those who wrote their aptitude test in December last year and probably early this year.

I'm directing this message to those who are yet to receive their invites as it's obvious it's being sent out in batches. Pls feel free to quote this if you have a separate theory.

P.S. I wrote my test February this year at First academy Challenge in Ibadan.

You seem to know a lot about first bank graduate trainee program. How much do they actually pay for the stated position. From training school, up until confirmation. This question is as well important to make people decide on whether to pursue it or not!

We can use the number of people that will go AC on Saturday 17 to estimate the to number of people that qualified for the AC

First of all, congrats to all who got the invite to the AC, don't rejoice yet cos this is d toughest stage of the selection process (Don't mean to scare you). The best out of d best would be selected So you need to bring your A-game, you may not have a second chance.

Listen carefully and follow the info below. It may just help you.

There are 5 Stages.

1. Ability/Scenario test.
2. Group Task
3. Computer Test
4. Presentation
5. Interview.

After accreditation, U will have an ability test where u'll have to think thru the scenario and choose answers from the options provided.

Group Task.
You will be divided into groups and then u'll be given a scenario to discuss with ur group. Don't argue or shout any1 down, nor interrupt, make sure U give points and make reasonable sense, don't repeat ur suggestions or findings. Smile while responding and remember you are not competing against d members of your group rather against everyone there. So don't try to be the starlight in your group. Just make your group shine.

For Computer Task.
You would be given btw 15-20 mins to read the case and prepare your power point slides. You shouldn't have more than 6-10slides, if you don't know how to prepare PP slides... Start learning now. Don't write stories, just give bullet points then explain thats why its called a powerpoint presentation.

For Presentation. Here you would be presenting the PP you created yourself. Remember to intoduce urself and what u are presenting. Be confident and bold, smile and focused, dont stutter or sound unsure, be sure of whatever point u make, even when they counter U and say u r wrong, insist and try to give a better explanation for that point. Also thank d panel @ d end of ur presentation. Presentation is 5mins so go straight to d point and don't give unnecessary explanations. Time management is key.

Interview.
I call it the "How" interview, cos you would be answering the question "How?" a lot. Question on strenght. weakness, leadership skills, use of initiative, creativity and innovation, process improvement, team spirit and many more. Dont forget the question is How... So you would have to explain how you have exhibited this traits. If u fit lie, lie ooo, nobody go ask U if na true or na lie, but it must be full proof, cos a follow up question may arise. what is ur passion, why firstbank, why do u think we shld hire U, then know stuffs about FBN generally and read different interview questions.

And most of all commit all to God and ask 4 favour.

Please note. Workforce handled the last two AC and HCP is handling this one, some things may change but the idea is still d same and knowing FBN, the process would definitely be same but may add a little twist. Just prepare for the worse and expect the best.

Be prepared mentally, physically and spiritually.

Don't worry my guys, any moment from next week First bank will start sending e-mail to successful applicant. just keep ur hope alive and remember not to travel out of the country for now. I wish all of us best of luck. we shall all live meet in Training School.

Just called a lady from dragnet today and she told me dat result either successful or not will not be send to applicant. every other communication is between us and our client (first bank). all you need now is God. I wish you all the best. for the avoidance of doubt here is the number. 0701 196 2033. but don't call to bribe the lady oooo.

But this is not right. We are supposed to receive a feedback to know our stand whether good or bad.

But why this age discrimination? Trump, the incoming president of America is 72; Buhari, the president of Nigeria is 74. Is working in first bank tougher than the work of this men I just mentioned? I think something have to be done about this age of a thing.
