Ode. Who knows you among the top sources to give you any useless info. This is how you spread unfounded rumours. You are seeing GTCO there and still saying no GTB. You don't even know the holding company for GTB but you have a top source TheStoriesOfMan: I heard rumours from a top source that the big shareholders are reluctant because they do not have trust in the current management. |

Really. So soldiers went to ransack his house because of efcc issue. To think that people are even up voting this your comment is absurd. LegendHero: Na Saharareporters linked the invasion of Sylva house to coup.
It might be that the reason why they went to his premises before was simply because of this EFCC issue. |

Oga shut up.i am igbo too and what ipob is doing is terrorism. My concern is that trump is actually after regime change in Nigeria but can one really blame him. The atrocities of our leaders is crazy IGBOPROMISE1: What is IPOB doing in the east!? Cite examples of IPOBs ‘terrorist’ actions in the region!
What drives you is nothing more than your disdain, or hatred even, for the Igbo, coupled with a desire to ensure the continuation of ‘one Nigeria’ and the political-economy that defines it and fuels your hegemony! |

Your ignorance is alarming. If you know what it means to fund research you won't even be writing this rubbish here. Which research institute do you have in Nigeria and what is their output. Some of una just keep on defending nonsense. A country where science and technology is not recognised. is funding research. Have you ever heard about the minister in charge of that ministry. Do you know the amount governments allocate to research in developed countries. Funny you motymop: Continue blabbing there.
There are research institutes in Nigeria, stop being ignorant. Companies do provide grants, but they go to researchers linked to institutions or working under them, not to random individuals.
No company on earth will give you money just to do personal research unless it’s in the form of a scholarship. Every grant they give is tied to their own benefit whether through product development, data, patents, or corporate image.
Yes, there are rare cases where companies fund individuals directly but usually through scholarships, competitions, or innovation challenges. Even then, it’s never purely for the public..the company always gains something in return. |
Education › Re: Nigerian Companies Fail To Fund Research But Actively Sponsor BBN - Don (video) by Chekwume16(m): 2:27pm On Sep 17, 2025 |
What is this one talking about? Do you even understand the issue at stake Which research institutes do you have in Nigeria and which universities are actively into research. Try to understand what the issue at stake is first. motymop: and who told you Nigerian companies dont fund research
Like they fund research that benefit the group of their business
Even the BBN, it was research based before they put their money in brand awareness, they look at data before investing
so you think companies just go about putting money anywhere
All companies all over the world invest in research that will benefit them and make them have advantage over their competitor. |

This comment of yours shows you may not really be normal after all. You are not closer to ogbuku than I am. In fact he is my man but I was extremely disappointed by this extravaganza. It was a show of corruption at its peak and quite very unnecessary. I asked myself severally if Nigerian leaders are cursed. Even if you stole so much, do you need to expose yourself like that. It was such a shameful display. Everything is not politics. helinues: Did he borrow money from you to throw the party if not you are only saying nonsense |

Absolutely right Love800: Wow.
Thanks so much.
So they are not really talking about richest and biggest profit generation brands/company, but instead they are referring to the value of the company. Am i right? |
Business › Re: Full List Of Nigerian Companies With Market Capitalization Above $1 Billion by Chekwume16(m): 2:40pm On Aug 06, 2025 |
Yes a whole lot different. Capitalizationis talking about the value of the company in relation to the prize of its shares on the stock exchange market while earnings is talking about sales. If a company has 1 million shares and the price of its shares on the market is 200 Naira per share then the market capitalization for that company is 200 million Naira Love800: Hello.
I want to understand something. Market capitalization is different from profit generation, am i right?
Am confused a little here. If you can, pls briefly explain what this article is all about. Thank you. |

Hope you understand the meaning of market capitalization. How can that company make over a billion dollars in turnover. Please read to understand first SmartPolician: Na #17 Presco shock me pass - a company making over a billion dollars by planting and processing palm oil! Quite a difficult one. In terms of accommodation I think ph is better. Ph has more business opportunities too. Language is the same for both environments. If you need a more quiet life though asaba will be preferable with its attendant local delicacies for those that like natural food |
