Med students don't offer maths in 100l but you will take all other basic science courses as bms/life sc (only thing is no F is allowed in 100l or u are out of the department)

WHILE WAITING LET QUICKLY WEIGH OUR ADMISSION CHANCE BY OAU POINT SYSTEM (post your score)
Your JAMB result is 70% of your
total score & your O’level results
grade is the remaining 30%
iii. Your best 8 subjects grade will also be used for the calculation;
here is what each grade weighs: A1
= 8 marks, B2 = 7 marks, B3 = 6
marks, C4 = 5 marks, C5 = 4 marks,
and C6 = 3 marks.
iv. The maximum obtainable points from the selected best 8 O’level
grades is 64 (i.e A1 = 8marks
multiply by 8 subjects).
v. The total points you obtained
after calculating Your O’level points
will now be converted to 30% (for example if your O’level points is 48,
it will then be calculated as: 48/64 X
30= 22.5) Therefore, your NEW
O'LEVEL POINTS will now be 22.5
vi. Now, to calculate your UTME
points, follow this procedure: Divide Your JAMB score by 400,
then multiply it by 70.
For example, if your JAMB score is
250. Calculate it as: 250/400, X 70=
43.75
43.75 is now the UTME POINTS

Uniben is verrrrrrrrry secretive with their cut-off marks for admission. I don't think Uniben has ever officially released cut-off marks. Even the printed slip containing cut-off marks that was making rounds last year was merely a speculation.

Well, from all indications, Uniben WILL use calculations made using both jamb and waec grades to arrive at a cut-off mark that as usual, will vary according to departments.

Use both Unillorin's and Unilag's calculation system that made front page not too long ago and tell me what score you arrived at at the end after using each system.

Ya'll on this thread can do it and paste your scores here, to get an imaginary, but yet realistic average that might not be too far from what uniben MIGHT use. But I no sure say una go green co-operate with each other.

At the end, just put it at the back of your mind that not getting admission is not the end of the world. Your potential as a person is what matters most, school or no school. This will somehow lower your expectation before the list arrives and cushion the blow should things go south. Trust me, chool is overrated--take that from somebody already in the system.

The University of Benin(UNIBEN) set to release her 2016 admission lists according to a post published by the registrar of the University of BENIN(UNIBEN) Last week,After so many rumors were been said e.g
The admission list have been posted at the auditorium etc.all our candidates are advised to visit their KOFA page as from 10pm today to view their admission status.
Those whose admission status changes from submitted to admitted are those who extremely and successfully passed 2016 pre-screening be it first batch face-to-face screening or third batch face-to-face screening.majority of the applicants admission status will change today because more than 75% of the applicants KOFA page will be visited by the administrator of the KOFA site.
We hope that our wonderful blog readers who are also applicants of UNIBEN will be admitted and finally do their clearance and become a qualified student of The University of Benin.therefore applicants having issues with their KOFA page in terms of login,application not submitted etc.should visit the UNIVERSITY'S auditorium because that's the only authentic place to resolve technical issues concerning admissions.
