There's no need for thanksgiving here. You're the original writer so, deserve the glory.

Will you publish?
Nah. No plans to.

".... I was their first child".... You didn't indicate presence of other children, and if at that point you were the FIRST and ONLY child SO FAR, you still never indicated by adding 'first & and only child ATM(at the moment), don't know if I'm making any sense.

"when I think about it, we might have very low percentage of teenage pregnancy but we have high percentage of HIV infection".... DERAIL RINGS!!! Afterall, you couldn't back up your claims with valid, recognized proofs.

"Which is more politically correct term..........", Unnecessary derail, even so, who made you Judge to determine which was more Politically correct, are you Obama? You see how unnecessary it was. You sounded too authoritative when in the real sense, you have no authority-no punt meant.

"to speak about issues is mostly entertaining", yeah that Kin Kardashian part is interesting and promotes feminism but then it is too attached to the politically correctness of birracial/mulatoo so if there is a way you can disjoint them. Throw one away with the wash basin and maintain the ending pro-feminism paragraph.

Cool idea. I love you for your beautiful write-up.
Interesting points. I'm glad I came on this forum.
I agree with you on most of them and should flesh out the family dynamic more. I guess a girl's relationship with her mother is something I want to focus on hence not mentioning what the dad looked like or other siblings.

Perhaps I can introduce them in a subsequent chapter, if they serve the story. I'm new at this really but establishing the family unit from the start like you said is a good idea.

will work on the other disconnections, no one likes to be thrown off balance. Looking at it again, I see there's some unnecessary stuff there that serves no purpose.

Thanks again for your notes. It will help a lot.

Maybe it was more glaring than I had thought. But the derails were much and at certain points, unnecessary. Do I need to highlight them?

I'm not an Editor anyway, maybe I'm not justified to judge your Art.
Please do if you can. Thanks.

[quote author=Largas post=50424175]LOL yeah we are all learners. I read along and observed subtle, subtle linings of feminism across the post.

Sometimes there is a derail and you mention politics, entertainment. A silent campaign only detectable by careful readers. But, I really enjoy the story, maybe it's cause I'm a pervert.grin[/quote

But yeah I also noticed the derail myself and you just confirmed it can be distracting.

Wasn't trying to be subtle. I thought it was quite obvious.

Interesting how you used DRESSING UP to expose the protagonist's physical attributes.
Lovely diction too. But your paragraphing is really poor, makes your work difficult to read from line to line.
Thanks for the critique. Will be more mindful next time. I'm here to learn.

With due respect, your comment is faulted ma... To be very candid, what do women really want after native, customary, constitutional and constitutional laws were made to protect women from harm and assault in the society .. . Also, in the place of work, women enjoy certain rights and privileges for having kitty-cats which men will never have the privilege to enjoy

The reason behind this myopic fight for equality is selective because most women naturally can't withstand the amount of strength, power and perseverance needed to attain greatness yet they want to attain the same height with just little effort. Things don't work that way

You want equality whereby women will be allowed to go to the war front to wrestle with boko haram shey? You must be a joker
You started with due respect and then referred to her views as myopic and then called her a joker. this is one of the things I'm talking about. the automatic assumption that men know better and we don't know what's good for us or our own minds. That we are somehow lesser because we are women.

We aren't lesser and I can understand to you it feels like we have grown wings but I suspect you're not gonna change your mind and maybe we should stop trying to. More and more women are waking up and realising their potential. It doesn't matter what we choose to do with our lives the important thing is that we have 100 percent control over it.
In time I believe the future generation of men will all see us as equals. until then it doesn't matter what anyone says, I refuse to feel inferior or act like so.

I suppose it means different things to different people. I'm not embarassed to call myself a feminist. the world is changing but unfortunately in some counties not as fast as it should be. Thankfully Nigeria isn't one of the countries and we as women are pretty much free to do as we please. If I was for instance born in a country where women aren't allowed to go to school or marry who they choose, I doubt I would survive it.

Still, we still have some ways to go in areas of marriage, being in more positions of critical decision making but I suspect this has more to do with us as women knowing we are capable of these things.

I'm a feminist doesn't mean I don't need a man or I don't appreciate the importance of male and female relationships. it means I believe I'm your equal and should be treated as such, regardless of whether you are physically stronger than me, make more money than I do.

It's not fight. we can only all get along if we treat each other with respect that we are all due.

So to answer the OP's question. What do feminists want?

It's for you not to act superior simply because you have a cock. Lol

I'm dark skinned. I for even prefer Lupita color sef. The way I see it, the more black women bleach their skin, The more exotic darker skinned women will be. I know how many compliments I get on my natural skin tone.
