But you and I know the reverse is the case as the said competition doesn't help English teams but rather weakens them.

My point? If a side is good, that side is good. Competition or not, if you are good then you are good. PSG doesn't face competition in France, but does that mean they excel in Europe? Nope! That's because they are not good enough. So we excel in Spain and in Europe because we are good and far better than the vast majority out there.

It's not a good achievement. I (and I believe other gunners) are disappointed with falling off the title. Nothwithstanding, you'll agree finishing 2nd is better than 10th. Look at ManUtd, they'll most likely finish 5th but can give anything if they could be given 4th talk more of 3rd or 2nd. Hate it or love it, it's not easy to be that high up the league.
