I totally agree with you. Only a fool will believe this money came from blogging for 5 years. Please ask Perez Hilton the most successful blogger in the world if he has seen one tenth of that money. Please, Linda Ikeji should stop taking people for fools and keep her runs acquisitions private. Tomorrow now if kidnappers come, she will start to wonder. |
justwise:Thanks very much @justwise. I appreciate. |
justwise:I started my course already on Dec 1st. Its a PhD, so flexible. I took an authorised absence from my school to come back 4 visa. I v spent 5 weeks out of 8 weeks annual AA already. |
@justwise and co. Please I got a visa refusal on Jan. 22nd and applied for an administrative review same day. I got a phone call yesterday telling me that the decision has been overturned and that I should drop off my and my dependants passports at the VAC in Abuja. I did so yesterday. My question is does anyone in the house know how long it will take as I need to book our flights. thank you. |
I have a question please. If you finish your masters and get a PhD at the same institution, can you commence your PhD with your masters visa if it is still valid and try to extend the visa or apply for a new one later. |
thanksoluwa:Hi, the universities prefer an admin review because a refusal is not good for their record. They r not in a hurry to issue a new CAS as they also v to pay 4 it. I submitted my AR on thursday 22nd January in Abuja nd I got an email confirmation that dey v received it on 23rd saying that it usually takes a minimum of 20 days. Hopefully you will get an acknowlegement of receipt too. |
justwise:@Justwise. Thanks very much. You are truly an inspiration to everyone on this blog. God bless you |
justwise:Thank you @justwise. But do I need to re apply or file an administrative review |
worry359:Thank you. I have contacted them by e-mail but am waiting for a response. |
justwise:Two weeks yesterday. My school contacted me today telling me that I am entitled to 8 weeks authorised absence per year for my PhD and told me I can extend the two weeks I initially applied for. |

@justwise and co, please kindly advice me on what to do. I finished my MSc in September 2014 with a distinction and started a PhD in December 2014 on my old visa which is valid till January 30 2014. I was in the UK with my daughter and my husband even though he had a dependant visa was not able to join us due to extended family issues and illness. I took an authorised absence from my school and returned to Nigeria on Jan 7 and applied on Jan 9. However I picked up my passport today and was shocked to see that we were refused visa under paragraph 245ZV of the immigration rules. This is the statement: You applied for your Tier 4 visa on 09/01/15. Your studies are due to commence on 01/12/14. You have claimed 30 points based on your CAS but as the final date has now passed I am not satisfied you will be entitled to commence studies or be granted entry to the UK for that purpose. I have awarded you zero points as a consequence. You therefore do not meet the mandatory requirements to be granted entry clearance as a Tier 4 student and I refuse your application under paragraph 245 ZV of the Immigration rules. I applied for this visa and when asked if I had started the course, I said yes. I do not know what to do. Please my pple, how long does an administrative review take. I have already overstayed my authorised absence and need to get back to school ASAP. |
Has anyone got an approval email from UKVI this year? Wondering if that has been stopped as most mails seem to be 'decision made" from TP |
