2nd step - If you must start your own business, you need to have a good business idea.

A good business idea identifies a need and provides solutions to that need.

You need to know if there is a demand for your product or services.

You need to identify your target market, that is know who exactly needs your product/services,

You need to know if people would be willing to pay for your services/products and for how much,

You need to know if your services/product would offer a Unique Selling Point (u.s.p),

You need to be aware of any possible drawbacks or limitations in realizing your business dreams,

You need to know how your product/services can be free from legal implications,

If your offering or business idea is not strong enough, work on it or develop another,

If your business idea is good, always test it to ensure that changing circumstances don't render it obsolete.

First of all you need to evaluate yourself!

- evaluate your skills and knowledge!

- know the type of business and industry you want to venture into!

- know how you'd like to work!

Sorry I don't own printivo.com.ng neither did I win. I just stated printivo to let people know that people have won it and to also let them know what type of business won, so that they might know what exactly to pitch to win that money. I wanted to join a cug so as to participate but I won't cos I discovered a forum that would assist me in getting investors to invest in my business. I won't state their names here cos nairaland isn't gonna pay me in doing so!!!

Many people want to start their own businesses but they don't know how. At least 99% of them want to go into business they want to make more money for themselves. The first reason an entrepreneur should start a business is to provide solutions to a customer's problem and secondly to make money. If you are more interested in making more money from your business, your business is a business is of necessity and not a business of opportunities. If your business provides solutions to other people's problems it is a business of opportunities. Investors will rush to invest in your business and assist you growing your business.

If you need to create a new business idea you need to look for problems in your life, community or country and provide solutions to it and ensure that people who need your solutions pay you for your services rendered.
