given you 20(x² + 4) = 100 X x
20x² + 80 = 100x

now divid by 20
20x² - 100x + 80 = 0
20         20      20


x² - 5x + 4 = 0
x² - 4x - x + 4 = 0
(x² - 4x)(x + 4)
x(x - 4) -1(x - 4)
(x - 1)(x - 4)
x = 1 or 4

I like your solution. I could only fully remember the quadratic almighty formular.... you really dissected these problems. I love maths so much. This is my best post and these NECO questions are easy enough. Any maths teacher that cannot solve this is not worthy of being called a maths teacher. QED

Ok, I agree with most of your point, but for some middle class Nigerian family having 5 kids to put through school, The exorbitant school fees in these private institutions cannot fit allow us attend o. Meanwhile, there is this extra swag if you graduated from a federal institution and maybe God come butter your bread and you make a first class. You don't just hear ahhh s/he made a first class, you always hear an additional from FUTO/ UNIPORT/ UNN/ gbogbee as well. SWAG
