You should rather say ,she became pregnant.It sets you free from explaining the source of the pregnancy.The case of Christ's birth is case sensitive and such our choice of words towards it must be chosen.

Secondly,the prophecy that Christ would be brought forth by a virgin did not in any way mean that Mary was void of initial sin.Christ did not take flesh from man neither did he take from Mary.His conception and birth was purely spirited.Mary was conceived and given birth to like every normal human being,she lived her life a virgin before the conception of Christ like we still have women today that remained virgins till their marriage.
