I dnt think I will accept the ring. 
Will bring abit of law to explain why :

He bought the ring with the intention that the ring is for da Ex ryt? I.e when he was buying it, he bought it having her in mind, thinking ds is for Sashana or wateva her name cud be yeh.
Though he dint get to put this intention into act, intention alone is satisfactory for me in ds situation to conclude dat the ring doesnt belong to me but the supposed Ex hence why he gotta purchase one for me.
