ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The programme is open to candidates with:
• Bachelor’s (honours) degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University; or
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science of the University of Lagos with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• In addition to the qualifying examination, candidates must pass Computer Programming practical examination which will take place immediately after the written examination. The preferred Programming language could be any of the following: C++, Java, C# and Python.

Unilag accepts all degree from any NUC accredited university, though those with third class are limited with choices of course to apply for.

HND holders cannot apply For most courses offered at postgraduate level in university of Lagos aside MBA and few professional courses.

Unilag accepts statement of result during application but when fully admitted, you need to present transcript to postgraduate school.

Thought this would help you all so here we go

STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR DEPARTMENTAL REGISTRATION

If you have paid ALL YOUR FEES
Go to Unilag main campus
(By now you should have a new matric number not the one that started with an alphabet (Check your email - this will be what you would be using officially and even to log into your portal )

IF YOU WERE AN EX UNILAG STUDENT , I MEAN IF YOU GOT YOUR FIRST DEGREE FROM UNILAG YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A MAIL TELLING YOU TO USE YOUR OLD MATRIC NUMBER AS YOUR CURRENT MATRIC NUMBER- (Even if you want to do PHD In Unilag you will maintain your old Matric number)

If you were not a student - tendencies are your new Matric number will start with 24 (not too sure) but it should have changed by now from what you first saw on the admission letter

Once you register your courses you will receive the new number

Now you have a new Matric number

Here are the steps
Go to Unilag

STEP 1
Print out 3 copies of your course form and 3 copies of your online receipt

Your course form for FULL TIME
should be these 7 courses ONLY no electives this semester

STEP 2
Go to ACCOUNT OFFICE

DIRECTION
Take a cab to main campus from Unilag gate and walk to senate building ask the security to direct you to account office - it’s a building behind senate building just under the auditorium by your left that’s the door

ASK QUESTIONS incase you feel lost

Now you’re at account office

STEP 3
Sign the space for student signature on your 3 course forms

Present your 3 documents to the man on the second table after the security

3 COURSE FORM (signed by you)
3 ONLINE RECEIPTS

He will stamp and sign on them

Now you are set for the main departmental registration

STEP 4
GO TO THE MBA SCHOOL
(MBA School is not inside Unilag main campus it’s at yaba )

Direction
Take a shuttle from Unilag to yaba 300- at the last bus stop tell the driver to direct you to MBA School it’s a walk away from the last bus stop - it’s by your right (depending on where your coming from ) but there a sign post there it’s around one church

Again ASK - ASK THE DRIVER - it’s not far

Now you’re in school

STEP 5
Go upstairs you’ll see the directions on the wall leading you to MBA Office just follow it

STEP 6
Immediately you open the door the table by your right

Pay 20,000 cash (strictly cash if not you may pay charges ) there and get your receipt for MBA PROSPECTUS
(They will give you the prospectus and the receipt immediately)

STEP 7
Go down the stairs turn to the left and walk to the MBA STUDENT ASSOCIATION OFFICE
You can even ask the cleaners to direct you - it’s inside the same building

When you get there you will pay 10,050 sent to an account (strictly transfer)

If you’re at this point you should have 4 receipts

1)ONLINE SCHOOL FEES RECEIPT (3 copies you already took to the account office to be signed

2)RECEIPT FOR PG PROSPECTUS (The 5k receipt you paid during screening ) - photocopy 2 photocopies

3)RECEIPT FOR MBA PROSPECTUS (The 20k receipt) - photocopy 2 photocopies

4)RECEIPT FOR MBA STUDENT ASSOCIATION PROSPECTUS (The 10,050 receipt) - photocopy 2 photocopies

STEP 8
Arrange your documents according to how it’s needed in the picture below - you’ll also see the requirements at the MBA Office

Ensure your 3 bio data has your new Matric number not the Matric number with an alphabet

Now you’re set

STEP 9
You remember the desk you paid 20k at the MBA OFFICE

TURN TO THE RIGHT and go into the other office

You’ll meet a man with 2 seats in front of him

STEP 10
He will hand you over a list of all students admitted to check for your name
This part CALM DOWN AND CHECK WELL DONT RUSH

Show him where you found your name and he will check it with. Pen and hand you over a file after he has confirmed all your document arranged in 2 sets and he will also sight thats collect your original documents to see and confirm - Once all is well organized

STEP 11
Begin to fill your file with the information requested

Advice
IF YOU ARE FULL TIME Please don’t go and say you work - leave that part of employment details on the file blank o (fill it at your own risk) full time students are not supposed to be working it’s clearly stated on your letter don’t implicate yourself. Even though they know people will work but you don’t use your mouth to say it or fill it ! COMMON SENSE O

All your documents will be placed in the file in 2 sets

STEP 12
He will ask you to write your name on a paper after all is done please note your SERIAL NUMBER WELL

YOU WILL NEED IT

STEP 13
You will be given a barcode on a paper to scan
This will direct you the official WhatsApp group approved by the department and it’s only accessible to those that have done ALL their registration - both full time and part time are on the group

Then wait for the the admin to let you in (might take a while but no worries - they will let you in)

Now you can go home and wait to be allowed into the OFFICAL WHATSAPP GROUP FOR 2024/2025

The man will ask you to come back in two weeks to get 1 copy of the documents you arranged in your file by then the head of department would have signed it so you will pick one set and leave the other set set for the school but you’re getting your copy in 2 weeks

Step 14
When the admin lets you into the group

They will send you a form which is the official onboarding link and you will have to fill it in with the
SERIAL NUMBER I TOLD YOU TO NOTE

It will lead you to your group you belong full time has one group - part time has 3 streams you will directed accordingly

Now you’re in your official class groups
You can take it up from there !

For full time
Your course reps name and number is pinned to the top of the chat

If you successfully get here CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 YOU HAVE FINISHED EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH REGISTRATION

Try to print and photocopy outside Unilag , if you work do it in your office if not you’ll spend unnecessary money

login to your unilag portal here

Step #2.
Put in your application number and surname as password.

Application number is the ones on your application forms. Application number starts with an alphabet.

You will see you have been admitted if.your departments have concluded on theirs. Otherwise keep checking. No need to panic

For those that have scheduled their screening for next week, these are documents your need to present at the screening Venue. Please all hardcopy not softcopy and Original copies

1. Biodata form (coloured) 1 copy ( This can be printed from your dashboard)

3. First Degree certificate ( original copy). If you don’t have original cert, you should have sent your transcript from your school

6. Marital documents indicating a change of name e.g. marriage certificate, newspaper publication, affidavit etc.
