Nairaland / General / 4 Ways To Invest Into The Emotional Bank Account by chibykebrezzy(m): 2:46am On Mar 15, 2016
When we think of effective interactions with others, we must remind ourselves that before we can reap the fruits of a healthy and lasting relationship, we need to first create and care for the relationship by open communication and positive interactions.

We all know what a financial bank account is; we make deposits into it and build up a reserve from which we can make withdrawals when we need to. An emotional bank on the other hand is a metaphor that describes the amount of trust that has been built up in a relationship.

The feelings of safeness or insecurity either you or your partner has in a relationship, springs from the state of the emotional bank account.

The following are simple, yet profound, practical ways you can use to invest in and build up the emotional bank account with a partner until you can reach a large reserve to draw from.

Make deposits to an emotional bank account through courtesy... Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/03/4-ways-to-invest-into-the-emotional-bank-account/

Romance / 12 Things Women Hate In Men by chibykebrezzy(m): 11:01am On Mar 14, 2016
It’s a pity but true that most men think of women as beasts, without soul or feelings, just meant for abuse and insolence. They think that women are created to be seen and not heard. They are meant as play things set apart to meet the needs of men. They are zombies meant to cater for every whim and caprice of men.

It is for this reason that men often express surprise when women revolt and match their male chauvinism word for word.

It is necessary to recall that woman was not created as an afterthought. She was made in God’s perfect plan and timing and the first man was in his right senses when he woke up and exclaimed, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man.” Genesis 2:23

1. Women hate wicked and ostentatious men who use them and do not love them. Every time a little demand is made of his time and substance, he reacts with disdain.

2. Women hate men who abuse them physically. No woman wants to be beaten up or turned into a punching bag by any man. God naturally made the woman romantic and loving but brutality turns love sore. Some men are abusive as well as physically brutal and yet turnaround later in the day to demand love.

3. Women hate men who are incapable of romance, appreciating...Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/03/12-things-women-hate-in-men/
Romance / 10 Things Men Hate In Women by chibykebrezzy(m): 10:56pm On Mar 13, 2016
Men as individuals and in varying cultures differ in their make-up and behavior. There are however certain areas of relative common interest especially in certain cultures. Here are a few common no-nos for men when it comes to women.

1. Men hate women who retain any level of intimacy with former male friends. These friends were classmates and colleagues who one way or the other had close contacts with the woman. Any carry over of such previous relationships by phone calls, dates or gifts is bound to arouse trouble in the new relationship.
Maintaining an old /former intimate relationship with the opposite sex under any pretext whatsoever angers a man and arouses disrespect.

2. Men hate women who are loose with their mouth. No man wants to be shouted at by his partner. No man enjoys a relationship where his lady abuses him, his friends or family. Proverbs 21:9 rightly noted, “It is better to dwell in a corner at the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.” A wise and gentle woman can get her man to do just about anything. There is something ugly about a vulgar and shouting woman.
Not to justify the act of infidelity, but this is one reason why wayward men prefer mistresses, who... Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/03/10-things-men-hate-in-women/

NYSC / 4 Lasting Solutions To Laziness That Will Transform You Into A High Performer by chibykebrezzy(m): 7:59pm On Mar 06, 2016
A few years ago, I didn’t consider myself to be much of a go-getter. I felt I didn’t fit into that category because I was not self-motivated in getting anything done.

I didn’t deal with pending tasks until it was almost close to the deadlines, then I will hurriedly submit a poorly finished, haphazard work. I was lazy. I constantly lost energy, vitality and drive to get anything done. I knew at the time that I was capable of doing better than I was doing but I just couldn’t get myself to face it. My laziness at the time was evident in my academics, my work, and even my relationships. I took almost everything for granted.

I had a telling setback, which proved necessary to bring me to attention to my situation as if I became aware of it for the very first time. My lazy attitude towards my relationships cost me a very important relationship...Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/03/4-lasting-solutions-to-laziness-that-will-transform-you-to-a-high-performer/

Foreign Affairs / Nelson Mandela In His Inaugural Speech 1994 by chibykebrezzy(m): 9:27am On Mar 05, 2016
Experience tells you what to do; confidence allows you to do it. – STAN SMITH

NELSON MANDELA

For almost twenty-six of those years, he was confined to a prison cell because of his outspoken views about apartheid. During this time, Mandela’s confidence must have been tested. It is a tribute to his faith and conviction that he ultimately triumphed and went on to be elected to his country’s highest office.

Carefully read these words spoken by Nelson Mandela at his inaugural speech.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be...Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/01/nelson-mandela-in-his-inaugural-speech-1994/

Business / Fry The Little Chicken by chibykebrezzy(m): 8:21am On Mar 05, 2016
“The sky is falling! “The sky is falling! The Chicken Little is heard shouting all day long. The Chicken Little is both the internal and external cynical voices that tells you why it could never be done. It reminds you why you’re not worthy or deserving enough. It warns you to consider what people would think and so never bother trying.

It is this Chicken Little that has brought about many dashed dreams and aspirations. The Chicken Little is indeed a little chicken!

While we may be quick to condemn the external cynical voices, it is important we note that the most powerful of the cynical voices lies in each of us. This little chicken inside us, operates between our two little ears. We may call it self-doubt, limiting self-talk. All the internal negative...Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/02/fry-the-little-chicken/
Career / Becoming A Lifelong Learner by chibykebrezzy(m): 8:09am On Mar 05, 2016
When you look at the benefits gained from keeping your mind sharp, it’s incredible.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.”

When you commit to becoming a lifelong learner, you really begin to live. We live in the information, knowledge age, where information is power.

A lot of people make the mistake to stop learning immediately they get out of school, which I term ‘a crippling disease in the mind and mental development of an individual’. But becoming a lifelong learner is much more than that. It is simply the intentional, conscious and deliberate effort to keep improving oneself, knowledge wise and expanding one’s points of view, thus becoming erudite through continuous learning that can be achieved not necessarily within the four walls of a school.

A story was told of a certain lady who had her house burglarized. The thieves took all her electronics and jewelries but left all the books in the shelves. How incredulous?! Sad to say, this is... Continue reading by following this link http://www.ceinspired.com/2016/02/becoming-a-lifelong-learner/

Politics / Naira Coins; Legal Tender Or National Artefact? by chibykebrezzy(m): 8:52am On Jul 05, 2013
NIGERIAN NAIRA COINS; LEGAL TENDER OR NATIONAL ARTEFACT?

Are Nigerian Naira coins really legal tenders or national artefact? An unanswered question in the minds of Nigerians that needs to be urgently addressed by the governor of the central bank of Nigeria.
As with some cultural norms and values, languages, etc., the Nigerian Naira coins appears to be another of Nigeria’s identities that is on the verge of going extinct under our noses due to sheer ignorance.
The Naira coins approved by CBN as legal tender for the payment of goods and services rendered, appear not to be accepted as payment in transactions by businesses, banks and individuals. Coins are out rightly rejected even by commercial banks in Nigeria. Coins are not issued by banks, hence are not accepted as deposit from customers who wish to deposit them in banks.
This has attracted increased concerns by discerning and patriotic Nigerians who cannot but wonder why the central bank of Nigeria (CBN) invested a lot of resources in minting legal tenders that are not accepted by the people for the payment of goods and services.
I once went to a certain commercial bank to deposit coins but I was told by the bank’s teller that they do not accept deposit of coins in the bank. When I insisted, other bank staff confirmed this to me. I probed further to find out why this was so and I was told to ask the governor of the central bank of Nigeria for answers. The situation was indeed a shameful and embarrassing one. I had to leave the bank with my Naira coins.
This issue has raised so many unanswered questions by the masses such as;
1. Why are coins in the economy if they are not accepted by the masses as legal tenders?
2. Why did the central bank of Nigeria approve and invest resources in minting new Naira coins when they are not accepted by the masses and even commercial banks in Nigeria?
A mini survey I conducted on this issue revealed the following points of consideration;
1. The Nigerian people are aware that Naira coins are legal tenders as approved by the government and the central bank of Nigeria.
2. General perception that coins are bulky and not portable enough to be carried about hence people choose not to use or accept them.
3. General suggestion that CBN should not mint coins but rather invest resources in other worthwhile projects since the people and businesses alike do not accept them.
4. General opinion that minting of the Naira coins was inappropriate given the fact of its non-acceptance as a legal tender.
I therefore appeal to the governor of the central bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi, to address this issue, which is now widely considered within and outside the nation as CBN’s oversight.
I also encourage fellow Nigerians, co-operate organizations, journalists and media houses to join efforts with me and encourage our government and the central bank of Nigeria to think critically regarding this issue and address it before it becomes a national menace.
Let us build Nigeria together and make it a better place for you and me!
