I dunno why those ones get deported. They come into the country to work, make a decent living for to feed their wives n kids elsewhere.
They are better than the ones doing the credit card racket, prostitution or full-blown 419.

Chika98, lets go and sleep. . . . . Chic2chimp will lock the gate and stand guard. grin cheesy
Absolutely. Not only are they better than the ones doing card rackets, they also better than those lazy ass benefit scroungers.

What amazes me is the level of their intelligence, they don't seem to have any idea what's going on. At least if you're doing the wrong thing,be smart about it.
Or they might be playing up. i.e acting stipid just to gather sympathy. Just a thought.

There are different types of Nigerians

1)people who poor and mad at the current state of Nigeria
2)people who are rich and dont care( long as they keep house for VI,ABJ, fleet of cars)
3)people who work to better themselves, while bettering their surroundings. Obj whether you like him or not.
4)people who work solely for Nigeria as a whole. Gani, Soyinka etc
Are you basically saying that the word 'Average Nigerian' does not exist?
But this one claimed 15.
He had been prepped by a shrewd agent to claim 15 for a reason.

The average Nigerian doesn't even have the confidence to believe in what they can achieve. The average Nigerian isn't prepared to do things the right way. Everyone wants to make a quick buck in other wards to "hammer!" more or less. So, until our mentality as a people change we are just going around in circles.
I think you really doing the average nigerian a disservice or should I say you are underestimating them.

Given a choice,I think you'll find that the average nigerian would be willing to try new things cuz let's be honest we've been trying the same for years on end.

Sauron: Common! We both know dude ain't no 15 year old. Kill him ke? Let him go back to Ijebu Ode!
Exactly. That guy is as old as my dad grin grin.
The lies helped him get into the country. . . . .

Firstly, he was on camera.
Then he claimed to be 15 and that he would be killed if he's sent back to Lagos.

What if he is saying the truth?
Those immigration officers could lose their jobs if those child right organisations see such on tape. They will take it up.
The fact of the matter is that the dude ain't 15. I know that, you know that, chika knows that and the immigration officers most definitely knows that too.

As I said earlier in my post, they would have dealt with similar cases and as we all know it's the same tricks all of em' africans use over and over again grin grin. They can't be bothered to think outside the box or make up reasonable stories. If they truly wanted to deport him, they woulda done without anyone batting an eyelid.
Cos 15 makes him a child in the UK, not an adult.
That was probably what saved his ass from being deported immediately. . . . .
I don't know why but I find it hard to believe that him lying actually saved him. Heck, even my nephew knew he was lying through his teeth. I'm also pretty sure they would have dealt with other immigrants using similar tactics. Let's be honest, those immigration offficers are no mugs and can tell when peeps are telling porkies.

So China is a pile of rocks? Japan? Are they white?
That is why I wholeheartedly disagree with him. My point is that some peeps on NL will see things from his point of view and tbh I for one would not blame them for doing so.

chika98:
Have you forgotten that the said leaders are from Nigeria and are Nigerians who have decided to de fraud their own country. The leaders are who we are as a nation. Everyone is quick to point fingers but how many of you will actually change Nigeria if you got the opportunity to rule the country? Think well before you answer!
Excellent point well made. I agree with you in that the onus to change should not be on our leader's hefty shoulders alone. Until your average nigerian is willing to accept that,I'm afraid africa/nigeria ain't gonna develop anytime soon.

The fact is that this same leaders are a sad reflection on the type of peeps our society breeds.
