I remember when this car was the car to be seen in.

^^ It looks like it may happen, at the rate CNN and FOX News are fanning the flames of disgust against Nigeria,

Shipping and clearing is a burden. If u ship from California where I live, even if u buy a $1 car shipping is only done in containers from here and the cheapest is $1,900 by A&A International, so it is best to ship from the East coast to make it cheaper, via Ro Ro (if u can)

Then clearing is where 9ja makes their money, they will charge over $2,000 just to clear that $1 dollar car.

So If u buy that car in Amii and it cost $3,000 u can ride it and enjoy it, but that same $3,000 car if u want to ride it in Naija, u may have to shell out $7,000 due to other cost.

Unless u want to buy a cheaper Naija used car, and what u find is what u will get since there are no records to tell u how the seller has been maintaining it in Naija roads.

Fhemmmy gives the best deals on NL (with German of course), u have to consider that he will purchase it, haul it to the port, ship it, clear it and at least get a little chewing gum money on top of it for his work. 1.2 Million with all the problems is not that bad. He is a straight forward business man. (consider the mileage as well, the lesser the mileage the more expensive the car) So a Ford with 150k miles will be way cheaper than a Ford Focus with 70k miles,

And be careful on purchasing a car on craigsglist, most of them are scammers.

lol, telling a USA car dealer U are shipping to Naija these days will be a task after what happened here in 12/25. I give all u 9ja car dealers props for dealing with all kinds of adversities.

^^So do you tell them that it is going out of country then to avoid those extra fees? Cos they really tag on alot if u buy it to ride within the country. Tax this, tax that, dmv, fee, smog, etc.

When purchasing a car from a USA car dealer do u pay the car sales tax of that particular state? what of the other fees they tag unto it like DMV fees and other fees? What do you pay and don't pay since you are going to ship it out of the country and wont ride it in that state or the USA? Do you tell the USA car dealer that the car is going out of the country and not to be driven in the USA so they wont tag on more cost?

How easy or hard is it to find Infiniti spare parts in Nigeria and if found, is it affordable like a Toyota's? I know I have been told by a Naija dealer that Acura spareparts are hard to find in Naija and expensive to maintain.

Are Nissan Altimas as reliable as Toyota Camrys in Naija? Especially those that have over 100k miles.
How about the cost of maintanace in Naija? Is it common and easy to maintain like Toyota?

I am looking for a 2001 Toyota Camry or 2002 Nissan Altima, Tokunbo, never driven in Naija, but it has to be on Naija soil already, not alot of folks want to take chances with their money these days by pre ordering online and wiring $$ into some foreign account, they will rather see the car live and buy it in person, even it will cost a little bit more.

Maintanance cost and bad roads is the reason Toyota is King in Naija, not cos it is more superior to other cars, it can withstand more abuse than most down there, and we know Naija roads are abusive to cars.

U buy the best looking car in the world, ride it on Nigeria roads and it comes back looking like a "bucket".
