If it's ur passion to study Medicine, then I have no option but very many doctors today are not well paid. I know people who were denied Medicine and are very wealthy bankers and business men today. My elder brother wanted to study Medicine, he eventually got it and spent 10 years in School. Today, I am a banker, have my Masters and is even a Chartered Accountant while my elder brother is just doing his Houseman-ship. He even begs me for money sef. My Dear, follow ur heart sha. I know it may seem disappointing now but God has good plans for you. Keep praying and seek God's directions! Cheers.

It'll really be very difficult I must say esp. Wen U re working. Costing n Audit is not as easy as U fink as this is ur 1st time. D 4hrs a day will take seriousness & dedication. Guess U've seen d study packs to knw how much U'll have to cover? Studying 5yrs in each of d Pathfinders will go a long way.

D last time I went to ICAN office 3yrs ago, I was told that HND begins frm Intermediate while those who studied B.Sc in Accounting related courses like Accounting Education will also begin frm Intermediate. Except if d rule has been changed cos I knw a HND Accounting graduate who was busy preparing 4 PE1 exams, only 4 her to be told when she went to ICAN office jst 1month b4 exams that she'll begin frm Intermediate.

U'll begin frm Foundation but hv an exemption in Ecomomics. I also had my B.Sc in Economics n even had my MBA sef & I began frm Foundation..

Pls, can anyone help me to ascertain if d ICAN Syllabus for Intermediate exams has changed due to the conversion to IFRS so I can make up my mind if I shld continue with d previous study packs n Pathfinders or start lectures afresh @Wyse? Pls, ur response will be seriously appreciated.

My Dear, don't mind him. It's basically jst a place to share ideas. He shld opt out if he isn't comfortable with it. For instance, I work in a bank & hv gone 4 several job tests n interviews with Multinationals & will NEVER hesitate to share ideas with people willing to come into my Organisation on what to expect. He shld opt out if he cannot deal with it n stop acting like an oversabi with over skill. Shikena!!!

They're still calling pple in other Depts except Assurace buh' if U do not knw anyone working thr, then U really need 2 pray very hard...

Did U make it as regards d gatecrashing?? Cos I knw of some who gatecrashed n were successful. I also knw of Bankers n pple who works in Smaller Audit firms n Conglomerates that also applied!

worldz: @motunrayo and others, please what was the format of the test? Was it Gmat or Shl? How was it structured? Quantitative, verbal & diagrams? And the duration? Please, will like to get information on these. Thanks!

D entry level test is usually done every 2yrs. It's strictly GMAT. Very difficult though. QuAntitative,verbal n sentence correction. Forget Diagrams n Vocabularies. U can still apply in 2yrs time if U re not still upto 26, 25 is usually d safest age though, cos pple who were 26 were bounced 2yrs ago. All d best in all U do... God's favours n guidiance. Cheers!

Jst be familiar with what U studied in ur B.Sc days. If U re doing ur ICAN n U hv ur Masters already, U sure will be asked Accounting questions too. It's all abt defending ur certificate n ur confidence...Interview lasts 4 abt 1hr n hv a knowledge of IFRS if U knw what that means. Above all, we pray 4 God's favours n guidance. Did U get ur interview invite 4 Satday? Pple who studied accounting are usually favoured as it's an Audit Firm n of course, pple who hv insiders in EY.

Y'all don't panic. Companies hv closed 4 d year. Let's wait until d end of January....

Yes. It is usually d final stage. Lasts 4 abt 1 hour usually done by 3pple...
