However, that CBN circular is pretty straight to the point and i am hopeful you get any clarification to share with us Nairalanders. Well my sis who is a Barrister had explained that current accounts are charged for transfers from/to the account. It's just for avoidance of doubt as she simply put it a caveat... that transfers/deposits[b] to[/b] self and withdrawals from your savings account are the only exemptions from the stamp duty charge.

Standard banking practise for compromised card PIN fraud investigation is basically for identification of perpetrator(s).

Subsequent report of same to the NPF (police), Efcc and the likes for criminal investigation remember these institutions are liable for disclosure to third party as we customers entrust our money to them.

This law enforcement bodies are mandated to counter this agreement btw customer and bank without prejudice. No bank in the world will ignore request from law enforcement agency in view of crime investigation.

What the bank can do is place a hold on the beneficiary's account with a court order pending when said funds are available.

I was like this throwing tantrums and cursing until an uncle who is a legal financial adviser enlightened me as a I have attempted here.

I advise you seek legal advise or directly report to EFCC or NPF. I am certain the banks will provide any form assistance when requested from theses agencies.

I feel your pain bro. the banks in question are quite commendable. You are exposing your friend and the bank by stating his disclosure of the beneficiaries. That's not info for public perusal.

Hello everyone, I need the help of everyone who can. I did a bank transfer from bet365 into my UBA account and saw that I am been credited @ 176.5 per Euro. Is bank transfer calculation/charges different from that of card, with this development I have lost everything I made from my stakes to UBA. Pls advise.

Hi NextDay, Cards and transfers are pretty different platforms you know, So the charges will be different.
This international transfers normally attract fees. These fees are either paid by the sender, receiver or both the sender or receiver shares the charge.

Guy the first time this thing happened to me, the company i work for online sent me money for me to find out that I was meant to pay the transaction fees alone. Man I Open my eyes for the card company "Payoneer" the explained to me what the company the sent the money did with one Telex message i saw it in black and white.

I would just advise that you ask UBA for that information if they will give you but GUY conatct the sender to find out if you where meant to bare the charges for the transfer except they have told you that from the begining. After you have settle this then you can know the rate which has been up and down this period.
