I wanted to opt for custom psu modular cables, red and black but the price was 60 USD which I chose to buy a new 650w psu.

it's my first build and so many inconsistencies
the corsair sf450 psu cables where too short because the pc case is a bit bigger than the conventional "mini itx" cases.
i had to order a normal psu ( corsair 650 ) which has longer cables.
pc is packed up and i await delivery.

As earlier said, branded pcs can't be really upgraded.

Ddr2 boards are way too old.
I'd advise you go for a fresh pc build.

These days, pc gaming is not as expensive as it used to be

If you've played games on 1080p/ultra settings/60fps you'll never want to go down the console ground.

For alienwares, it costs almost twice to get a pc of my specs and you can't always upgrade some parts like the GPU which means in a few years, your specs may be outdated.

And oh, I do have a ps4 and after hooking it up to my 120 inch, the medium looking textures are more obvious few games are 60fps.

I know pc gaming is expensive, yeah, but other things are expensive too like popping bottles in da club or buying gifts for the girlfriend.

Passion and money has to go somewhere I believe.

Lol, alienwares are overpriced and underpowered pcs.
Much more cheaper building your own rig and you get customizability all the way.

Ram sticks have been installed and the new psu is a corsair 650w.

It's a benq 3D DLP 1080p, it's a 120 inch projector that puts cinema projectors to shame - at least the ones I've been to.

Oh nice...I've always wanted to build in that case. the case doesn't have support for a CPU liquid cooler. You'd need to go for something like the Noctua NH-L9i or Silverstone AR06 CPU heat sink n fan.

The other components will be compatible.

Couldn't compromise overclocking convenience for size especially after paying premium price for the Intel k processor.

I hope to overclock

Went with the NZXT case, nzxt x61 liquid cooler and Kingston hyper x fury 16gb ddr4 ram.

Only thing left is a buetooth keyboard, 2 xbox one gamepad, Bluetooth mouse and a PSU

What the model of the case? Which GTX 1070 is that?

One thing I'd suggest is go for liquid cooler in mini itx case if the gpu is air cooled. Less heat contaminating. The CPU will run cooler when gpu is working hard, spitting heat into the case.

colorful GTX 1070 ( would have preferred the Gigabyte version but my bro mistakenly chose the colorful version which shipped before it could be cancelled )

i guess difference may not be so much unless a 2-3% drop in overclocking abilities

I'm going with the Silverstone RVZ02 Mini ITX case, NZXT kraken x61 CPU liquid cooler and a corsair SF 450Watts PSU and 16gb ddr4 ram

Only issue I'm facing now is that I'm going with an nzxt mini ATX case and I don't know what compatible CPU cooler and SF psu will fit in.

A 750W PSU can easily get the job done, however I do not intend going SLI as most games do not support it and in cases where it's supported, it's hardly optimized.

I go by the rule of trying to solve my graphics whoring with one single card.

And i'm likely to throw in a 600W PSU, 32GB DDR4 ram, 256GB SSD, A reliable CPU cooler and 2-4 TB HHD


my main contender here is the case. Seems likely that i may order a micro atx case from amazon and ship through these NL guys.

I have a 120 inch 1080p 3D projector and i intend gaming on it at ultra presets, no less than 60FPS
