How many people are wealthy in delta? Excluding the politifcians? |
Nigeria is a picture perfect depiction of who we are. Either through inactiveness or activeness, |
Fucken country ![]() |
The day I knew Nigeria had the sadim touch (the polar opposite of midas touch) , was when I visited a top Nigerian hospital in Port Harcourt. When I got to the hospital reception , a hysterical woman was in tears with a child on her back. She was demanding a doctor attend to her child at the top of her voice. Her child hadn't eaten for two days and he was very feverish. She screamed about how her husband had ensured medical insurance was provided for the child. The shitty part of the story: the hospital was unable to verify her NHIS card. The more shitier part: two hours later, I had seen a dermatologist and while leaving the hospital, this woman was still crying about her dying child at the reception and the hospital couldn't even verify her health insurance. As I left the hospital, I was assured beyond all doubt that Nigeria was cursed. In a saner country, anyone would be attended to, emergency or no emergency, before verifying health insurance coverage or not. Visiting Europe made me understood why we die easily like flies in this country. Our average mortality rate is 60 for a reason. |

You mean the all new Nissan puke |
He who brings home maggot infested meat shouldn't be surprised by the visit of flies. By the time, the challenges of this country is fairly and squarely met out to the middle and high class citizens, they'll never understand what the lower class citizens face on a day to day basis. |
@sinebaba Hacked funds that were bought physically? Hacked from where? Tell this story to the birds. Ebay accounts can be suspended for different reasons and they can also be reopened. I'm a long time buyer of ebay cards and you're not being straight. The accused has bared his part. He even sent a receipt. The onus is on you to bare your part but all you've been doing is derail. If your account is suspended, that's on you, it's your account. Not the sellers. And like I said, accounts can even be suspended for security reasons. Why are you acting like an amateur? |
![]() CCTV without database of citizens, CCTV without registration of immigrants CCTV without face or vehicle plates recognition system CCTV without constant electricity to power it up Are we clueless? Haven't they traveled to 1st or 2nd world countries? Don't we have professors in this country? Somebody just wants to create an opportunity for somebody to loot money Nigeria is a Ponzi scheme, the earlier you dump this poo poo Ponzi, the better for you and your family. |
Penisinpenisout:You must be either missing brain screws or an inbred 12 year old |
Nigeria is a comical contraption, best observed for comical relief from a developed country. Imagine going to immigration office to secure a passport and you're asked when and where you were born, your bio data. When immigrations are supposed to be the one to provide your bio details to you ![]() I can secure over 10 Nigerian passports with one face. Any black man from Niger, Gabon, Ghana, Cameroon or any neighboring country can claim to be a Nigerian. Just know a state and a local government. That's all. No data base. Nothing, nothing.

On the flip side, hopefully, they can discover their true self in jail. If only the Nigerian government would assist in the rehabilitation of both convicted and unconvicted youths. These men are probably gonna come out x10 bitter and desperate. Akon was jailed for grand theft auto. He came out x1000 times stronger and better consequent of the opportunities he took hold of in America. Heck, he's changing Africa with quite a few wonderful projects. If akon was jailed in Nigeria, i guess he'd probably ball out as a more hardened criminal. Where are the opportunities for these young men once they do the time? |

"interim forfeiture" Two words |
Eraddray:You fear what you don't understand. I learn what i don't understand. There's a difference between you and i. Have a nice day btw. |
Our myopic views have no limits. even in 2019. The scary part is even "supposed graduates/formal/semi formal educated" Nigerians are not left out of the bandwagon. There are more than a 100 mental illness that can hit anyone at anytime, consequent but not limited to genetics, chemical imbalance, drug abuse, prenatal factors as well as other psychological factors and the reporter had to tag him as a yahoo boy ran mad, consequent of money rituals. I'm sure the reporter attended a university. Little wonder; our graduates are unemployable. They bring nothing new to the table. |
BuhariAdvocate:Debunked |
The irony? Enough money to throw on untarred red earth. So rich, surrounded by the poor to boost his ego. He can throw money to feed his ego, he can't help the community. Mental chains that bind us. |
Lord, forgive me for voting in APC in 2015 I never knew hypocrisy could attain a whole new level effortlessly, with impunity. |
tactius:Dear Sir, nobody expects anything for free Do you agree that the cost of running petrol Gen is more expensive, stressful and environmentally detrimental? Do you agree that Nigerians don't like Gen? Do you agree that Gen is the most effective way to get power in offices, factories and homes? Do you agree that Nigerians in diaspora always pay their power bills? Why say Nigerians expect light for free? Please reply |
Lol 70k fine option How is this a deterrent to others? |
jbtobsyn:Did you even bother to read and understand? I'm talking about statistics and how they should increase their efficiency in policing economic and financial crimes. You're here on nairaland whining about how your mum hasn't been paid salary by Governor Amosun, while being ignorant of the fact that your mum is even a victim of economic/financial crime. Little wonder your view is myopic. |
Why do we always ignore the bigger picture in this country? Is impersonation, love scams and other menial cyber crimes the only finicial and economic crime? What about monopoly? Moneylaundering? Ponzi schemes? Inflation? Bribery? Breach of trust and agreement? Corruption? Illegal charges and practices from banks?terrorist financing? tax evasion? embezzlement? forgery? counterfeiting? So many stupid things going on in this country that fall within Grey areas in this country. My UBA bank keeps deducting 52 naira for all cards I've used and reported stolen or naira. I've reported this issue but nothing is done against it. Is this how you wanna fix the economy? By concentrating 95% of your resources and energy on petty fraudsters? We're trying so hard to keep up with the pace of USA, UK, CANADA, NORWAY, SWITZERLAND and a host of other countries in battling financial and economic crimes but the truth is, even our fight is highly flawed. Let us pause for a while, look at the bigger picture and go back to the drawing book. |
Void news. Dumb leaders with no game changing or innovative or even useful ideas. Tell us in plain English, how is the collobaration useful? What regulations or policies will be introduced to ensure transparency, encountability and security? What are the programmes to ensure ease of doing business? All they do is make sub standard promises that they can't even translate to reality in ground. And this is even a professor! Compared to leaders of the likes of Putin and other leaders, I always cringe when I watch our leaders on interviews. They have nothing to offer to the citizens. ![]() |
It will never be well with the luggard generation |
Wear a reflective vest so they can pick you up LOL ![]() Meaning, police, Sars, armed robbers or kidnappers can pick you up like beans |
Inflated prices |

even though I'm pro pdp, let justice prevail regardless of party politics It doesn't matter what party or candidate we stand for. Let's be two money launderers down as a nation. |
