Alaafin in this picture was not paying homage to the person of Ooni, he was rather paying homage to Ile-Ife, which Ooni symbolizes. Ile-Ife is our source. A flowing river does not forget it's source. That's just it.

SportsRe: Nigeria’s World Cup Hopes Hanging By A Thread by chiefolododo(op): 1:21pm On Sep 06, 2025
While Nigeria struggles, Morocco has become Africa’s benchmark. The Atlas Lions made history by reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, the first African nation to do so, and they remain strong contenders in the 2026 qualifiers.

Their success is no accident. Morocco invested heavily in infrastructure, most notably the Mohammed VI Football Academy, which develops talent in world-class facilities. They also prioritized long-term planning, hiring coaches with clear philosophies and backing them consistently. The federation ensures professional management, strong domestic leagues, and close ties with European clubs where many Moroccans play.

The lesson is clear: with vision, investment, and stability, African teams can match the world’s best. Morocco proves that talent alone is not enough—structure and strategy make the difference
SportsNigeria’s World Cup Hopes Hanging By A Thread by chiefolododo(op): 1:18pm On Sep 06, 2025
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are once again on the brink of missing the FIFA World Cup. With only seven points from six matches in Group C, they sit fourth behind South Africa, Benin, and Rwanda. To qualify, they must win all four remaining games and hope rivals drop points. Even then, a playoff may be their only route.

This is not the first time Nigeria has stumbled. The Eagles famously missed out on 2006 in Germany, 2010 in South Africa was only secured in the last match, and most recently, they failed to reach Qatar 2022 after a dramatic playoff loss to Ghana. Each failure deepened fears that something is fundamentally broken within Nigerian football.

Beyond results, the rot runs deeper: coaching instability (three managers in one campaign), federation mismanagement, and a lack of clear football philosophy have left the team in chaos. Critics argue that Nigeria, despite its rich talent pool, is a giant that consistently underperforms due to poor planning and weak structures.

The Way Forward

To restore the Super Eagles’ pride and consistency, Nigeria must:

1. Stabilize leadership – appoint a competent coach with long-term backing.

2. Reform football administration – ensure accountability and professionalism within the NFF.

3. Invest in grassroots development – build a pipeline of players trained in a clear national philosophy.

4. Prioritize discipline and unity – end the culture of excuses and entitlement in the squad.

Unless urgent reforms are made, Nigeria risks becoming a fading power in African football. The 2026 qualifiers are a warning: without change, the Eagles may never soar again.

Many of the governors are tyrants, lacking empathy and because they are accountable to no one, they believe they can do and undo.

You cannot blame them, they control billions every month and see themselves as gods.

What can 70k minimum wage which some of them have not even implemented buy?

EducationRe: Why Do Countries Borrow Money When They Can Just Print Them? by chiefolododo(m): 11:50am On Aug 27, 2025
It is not a bad idea if your economy is independent on any other nation.

If the United States is broke, they print money and keep it cool. Reason?

Because the globally acceptable currency is it the USD. The demand on it is high.

As part of his prosecution, the court has denied him request for medical travel and also ordered the forfeiture of some of his properties. Ignorance needs to be regulated.
