Politics / Jonathan Best President In Supporting Education In Nigeria - Wike by ChiefVolunteer: 7:30pm On Sep 19, 2014
No past administration in the country surpassed President Goodluck Jonathan’s attention to the education sector. This statemeent was creditedd to Nigeria’s Minister of state for Education, Barr. Nyesom Wike.

To buttress his position, he noted that “between 2010 and 2013, over N124 billion was made available to states to support the provision of infrastructure and facilities through the Universal Basic Education Commission. At the tertiary level, the number of institutions funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund increased from 157 in 2010 to 177 in 2013.”

Wike, who stated this through the permanent secretary in the ministry, Dr. MacJohn Nwaobiala during the fifth induction of registered librarians in Nigeria, at the National Universities Commission in Abuja, asserted that librarians had key roles to play in the development of the education sector since libraries are repositories of knowledge.

Politics / Has Gov Amaechi Lost It, Does He Need Help? by ChiefVolunteer: 6:58pm On Sep 15, 2014
It was shocking for Rivers State indigenes and residents when they read a statement credited to Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi just a few days after receiving the new State Commission of Police Mr Dan Bature.

Governor Amaechi’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr David Iyofor, in a statement, disclosed that there was a fresh sinister plot to allegedly throw Rivers State into “avoidable crisis.”
The governor’s scribe said the recently-deployed Police boss was “instructed by the Presidency to use the former Rivers police commissioner, Joseph Mbu’s draconian style and tactics in causing crisis in Rivers State.

This statement drew shocking remarks from people who believe such statement was uncalled for, considering the man has hardly sat down in his new job. We begin to ask - How did Amaechi know that the new CP was instructed considering there were 20 other CP deployments and re-deployments around Nigeria?
Amaechi fell-out with former CP Mbu Joseph Mbu, who many see as a thoroughbred Police officer and who has gone on to receiveawards, as a professional Police Officer. Amaechi was said to have lost it in his approach to the Mbu saga as he degenerated to childishness.

Even months after Mbu had long been redeployed, Promoted and moved on with life, Amaechi only last week reopened the saga by saying that Mbu wanted to ruin the state economy. How Mbu would have done this is still no known.

Now to also make such statement about the new CP has also drawn all sorts of remarks from onlookers who feel this is unbecoming of a state Chief Executive. Some of the respondents on across the web had these to say of the Amaechi tirade:

Ameachi is pure speculator and showing the real lifestyle of an Yoruba man, who will merely depend on gossip and envy.

Amaechi is arogant from birth.
He dont want a Police Commissioner in River State may be in 2015 he is buying for the post of Commissioner of Police nonesence

Christopher Ihegazierem via vanguardngr.com
Amaechi can't be controlling Rivers state and FG at sametime, Mbu had been deployed since Amaechi labelled him a politician in police uniform, now he is against the new commissioner,, Supporters and sympathisers of Amaechi have to ask him if he really wants a professional policing in his state

Jumpingbrook via vanguardngr.com
This Amaechi sef, he could have been a woman, he like trouble. This CP just resumed ke

Amaechi has started maligning the new commissioner of police now and tomorrow if the man respond people will begin to call the man all sorts of names. Why can't this man Amaechi give himself a respect and stop doing his job on the front page of newspaper? When has it become the duty of police commissioner to install a governor of a political party? Under what platform can that happen? Amaechi please if you do not have anything doing anymore give yourself a break of 2months in other to get your head back to other because as it is now you may not be thinking right and correct for now

Amechi has started again always crying and looking for enemies whether real or imagined. He is paranoid believing that everyone is against him.
A bad work man quarrels with his tool and by the way rivers voted in PDP not APC

oliver Macambou via vanguardngr.com
I think Rotimi Amechi is suffering political phobia, busy chasing shadows and calling names to win sympathy. Plse let someone teach this opportunist the meaning of politics so that he can use his time and office wisely and allow voters judge him by his works not his tears.

Rambunctious Billionaire via vanguardngr.com
Ameachi is just a dumb slowpoke. See how he is spending his time fighting the president when he would have been enjoying the benefits.

ERADICATE BOKO via vanguardngr.com
Even if it true Nigerian's won't believe you this plonker(stupid)governor.

EduMainMan1/Stuttsgat via vanguardngr.com
Yesterday it was Mbu who ruined the economy of Rivers State
Mbu was posted out of Port Harcourt and he is presently an Assistant Inspector General of Police
Today the current Commissioner of Police is at the receiving end from the Frustrated Power Seeker Amaechi Rotimi
Please for your information the VP Ticket is not for sale.

anthony okonkwo via vanguardngr.com
It is becoming clearer that it is Amaechi that is the problem and not Mr Mbu the former CP. It seem Amaechi want a CP that will be a stooge to him and carry out his orders without questions.

Having read all this, what do you think about Gov Amaechi?
Has Amaechi lost it?
Does he need help?
Does he need psychological evaluation as stated by Richard Ukwuguzo?
