nadyao: Hello! Wow so great to find edo words. My husband is edo and I'm trying to learn it but it's hard because he only speaks a little and there is not much info online. If you can keep new words coming would be great!!
Also, what is the word for butterfly and rainbow in edo??
Can you think of any names or words in edo that sound like english names? I love the name Nora but apparently it means the one who steals so that doesn't really make a good name!! Does Eden mean anything in edo?
Thanks!! My cousin's name is Nora (English) and your edo translation made me laugh... As for Eden, not sure but maybe Edenabohien (the day of judgement) could be abbreviated as Eden I am in the process of picking baby names as well |

ojdollars: Nigeria Fans, I beg make una calm down. Even if we no qualify, let's be grateful to God for how far He has brought us with our lovely super eagles team together. There are bad and good days in sport, let's be hopeful and pray for favor from God instead of bashing any of the players or our coach.
Congratulations in Advance to all SE Fans.. What kind of defeatist approach to life is that? Accepting mediocrity? Never! If we lose, we'll have to rue our woes and maybe that would inspire us to not take qualification to AFCON for granted again |

Badosqi: What a way to enter Uyo stadium. With a lot on the line. South africa yet to defeat Naija in over a decade. The atmosphere in dat stadium will be electrifying. Reverse would have been the case if not for today's victory. Other than one Mandela Cup game in 2004, a game they invited us to come play in their country and that we didn't take seriously, WE HAVE NEVER LOST TO SOUTH AFRICA AND WOULD NEVER LOSE TO THEM |

XketchDesigns: when people say made in Nigeria cars, I can't help but laugh! Please people the correct statement is ASSEMBLED in Nigeria. Are you trying so hard to be smart? It doesn't fit you if you're ignorant. ... Made in Nigeria means it's designed, manufactured and most importantly, trade marked in Nigeria. Don't be a Debbie downer |
Culture › Re: What Are The Things You Like About Other Ethnic Groups And Tribes? by ChiefX: 1:49pm On Oct 11, 2014 |
awesome! I think the best cooks in Nigeria are Calabars and those from Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom.... ajebuter: I am Yoruba from Lagos state and here are things I love about other ethnic groups: Hausas: very hospitable, very transparently honest, accomdating, open hearted, simple, not materialistic. The NYSC experience I had serving in Kebbi state will remain in my memory for as long as I live. The respect they had for me despite my difference is ethic group, langauge and religion remains in my memory. When I fell sick, the entire Yauri community took care of me even though they didn't speak English and I couldn't speak Hausa. Our bike fares as corper was reduced and all okada men took pride in giving corpers rides on their okadas. God bless Yauri Kebbi state and the entire hausa nation. IBOS: very industrious, hardworking, ambitious. I have never seen an ibo begger in my life. They also help each other a lot. They are eachothers' big brothers and sisters.God bless igbo kwenus! South south: Warri, binis, Isoko, Urhobos are very funny, very blunt, open minded and with giving spirit, generous toa fault even if they are poor. They are also proud of their villages and cultures even abroad and in cities. Bless una oh! Yorubas: we are very accomodating, fashionable, humane, social, love education, very hardworking, proud of our language, tolerant of other people and their culture, firm believers in parental and collective discipline, and not forgetting our world acclaimed owanbe parties! Even oyinbos tell me Yoruba parties are interesting with our dances and rounded asses. Efik: beautiful and natural looking women, fashion conscious even on their deathbed, they love being young and if u call an Efik woman mama or mummy, you go hear wen! Very good cooks, nice cuisine, very accomodating and friendly, unpretentious about their sexuality and generous. God bless Nigeria and its people. |
