Every doctor has his or her own preference for specialization, just like in any other profession, so if we say only females should study obstetrics and gynaecology whether they like the course or not, or whether they are interested in it or not, or whether they are competent enough to become consultants in that field, are we not going to prioritise gender over competence? And what do you think will be the outcome? Do you need the best hands in every field, in a profession that deals with life or gender ist
