Who doesn't know the color of those people |
This is one of the many reasons why, as he rightly said, Nigeria continues to struggle. The idea is simple: people care less about things they do not truly feel belong to them. It is the same reason tenants often do not care as much about the long-term condition of a rented house. It is also why people usually do not invest too much emotion in a short-term fling. Until Nigerians accept this basic reality, it will be difficult to make real progress. They must start thinking seriously about changing the structure of the country—either through true federalism or, if necessary, a peaceful separation rather than chaotic Balkanization. Only then can people begin to address their problems and improve their lives. Let’s look at it more closely. Can someone criticize the ruling government without immediately being accused of belonging to another tribe? Every president or political leader is often accused of tribal favoritism when making appointments. But we should ask ourselves an honest question: if you had to choose between equally qualified people, would you not naturally pick someone you know or trust from your own circle or network? And in Nigeria, those circles are often naturally shaped by ethnic or tribal ties. Instead of pretending these realities do not exist, we should face them honestly. The goal should be to bring governance closer to the people so that communities can manage their affairs in ways that better reflect their own interests and realities. |
Lee Kuan Yew (late), the first Prime Minister of Singapore, is widely regarded as the central figure behind the country’s transformation into a highly developed economy. Despite having a land area smaller than Lagos State (the smallest state in Nigeria, for context), Singapore’s total economic output (GDP) is more than double that of Nigeria, while its GDP per capita is roughly ninety times higher. givedemwotowoto:Oga stop dreaming, I no be tinubu supporter look me up but obi will not even smell 2nd in 2027 |
Where is he keeping his mum for goodness sake. He had better bring her out |
A nation of thieves and looters |
This is seriously irritating |
frankson1:Oga na you Dey disgrace yourself ooh, his speech was read by a press person not him |
WriteerNg:Rest Mr man, it was read by a newscaster not the ayatollah himself |
PigTormentor:The question is , are you a true son of Lagos or someone who has consciously lost his origins just so he can claim another man's land and rule over them just like the iragbiji man and his boys are doing. |
osimhen is a waster, look at proper setup he wasted |
lawani:I won’t explain further because it seems that certain sections of some people’s brains have gone on sabbatical leave till 2027 or possibly 2031. About support, regional policing is better than state police for the Nigerian context, aside compromise of neutrality, too many subdivisions create room for higher overhead costs and chaotic coordination of the entire policing network between all states. Are you prepared for cases like “this man is wanted by police in X state or the EFCC but Y state’s police says they can’t locate / provide him meanwhile they are currently offering him security escort services” We all saw what Ododo did for Yahaya Bello so paint the remaining part of the picture |
Richtaiwo:The way you e-rats spin tales from rather dry or stale news deserves recognition. Jobless lots. You turn almost every thing to a praise singing opportunity. Is the pay that good. Donald Trump replaced his DHS, moved her to another portfolio, I didn’t see this fanaticism from the followers or allied media. |
lawani:Having state police is progressive but knowing what we know about Nigerian politicians it will backfire seriously. State police will become the governor’s own militia or form a wing of the ruling political party in the state. Some things take maturing. You give a boy a real car, if he wants to drive something so badly let him have a toy car, in due time he will grow to have a car. Leave awalokan politics behind and think |
Please release that man he has a political ambition to pursue, allow him sell enough to fund his pursuit. How do you expect him to buy LG chairman form of millions ? He is the kind of politician loved in that region so let him be. |
Kemetian:What you lots don’t understand is that Israel and US are operating with restraint in order not to lose popular appeal so they are avoiding bombing civilians. But Iran is sending volleys of missile into civilian areas. If US decides to wipe out a small town, Iran will reconsider or maybe not, the regime doesn’t care about the populace rather they will use it fuel their propaganda but they doing the same in to Israel and neighbouring Arab countries |
Poloyanabo2:Likely by wearing PPE |
airsaylongcome:please try, except you hack into my computer, which is highly unlikely for anyone with non-state resources. |
Congratulations Mr Oladapo, you have qualified to join the league of potential political leaders and monarchs in one region like that in Southern Nigeria |
Omo, werey la finwo werey no wonder she was so aggressive about sexual abuse; she was battling her subconscious. I know why I haven’t had a social media account with my real identity in years. The posts you make today and forget about can resurface tomorrow in an ugly narrative. You might have changed, moved on, developed new opinions; but your brain has forgotten those posts even exist. In some cases, people lose access to their accounts, and their dirty linen stays online forever. In 2015 -17, at the height of social media battles sparked by European statistics on population and religious shifts due to migration by those people who are never comfortable in countries where their religion is practiced, I was vicious. I was on every YouTube video, Facebook post, and Twitter thread, debating ideas, theology, and trading insults, all with my real account . Naive of me. These people tracked my family members, sent threat messages, attempted hacks, and dug up personal details like business address from public CAC listings. No one had to tell me to delete every account tied to my identity. I went ghost mode and became incognito. That experience taught me hard lessons. Today, my anonymous accounts, the ones where I still drill truths into stubborn skulls like helinues, are all registered with numbers and emails that aren’t personally linked to me. Don’t ask how. |
Hydrogen sulphide, high probablity given the foul odour and colorless release. The landowner should invite qualified prospectors to assess the presence of crude oil. If oil is found, the resource can be monetized appropriately, and the families of the well diggers should be fairly and adequately compensated. |
