The North is not as varied as the south. Equitable representation demands that the north should give tolerate others too. One of the tenets of good governance is effective representation.

If the northerners feel that a combination of southerners can not represent their interests in this nation then they should champion the struggle for balkanization of this country.

The real question is, why must a northerner be on every ticket ? No presidential ticket has ever not included a northerner either as president or VP.
