If only we could learn from them cry but tribalism has eaten deep in our brain. Let's learn to be our brothers keeper and help ourselves with any information whatsoever.

Whether you are yoruba, hausa or igbo.. We are one Nigeria

Shun tribalism
Yes ooo, Nairaland has been a blessing to me, this is the beginning of the culture of sharing life changing information, experiences and opportunities. I am going to try my best to change the narrative.

Not Nigerian mentality actually but African mentality... It's only uncivilized people that have African mentality. Apologies to those that still possess that archaic mentality

smileyNo be say i get mind, na love push me grin I thought about the age factor but when I went deep with her, I found myself loving her more. I was 19 years then while she was 26

Yes, that's it.. If you are an extrovert, there is high tendency of being bored which may lead to depression in Nordic countries but Nordic countries is a great destination for introverted people smiley

You will get to enjoy government welfare there wink
Its sweet if you're going with ya spouse or gf so that you'll always have company.

There are only a few countries like that. Ireland and Italy. Turkey, Cyprus ladies can also be like that. But it's not a common thing.

I don't know why these guys are generalizing. 'White girls' do this and do that. I'm still trying to figure that out.
I do get the reservation about Generalization
Its important to play sef when you've had people showing you scars about being manhandled by the jealous ex, brothers and friends of the white girls.
Theres a video trending on YouTube about an Irish lady on rampage in an African man store.

Hadampson you have a point about America been a diversed country,if you are kinda extrovert nd love to mingle with your nationality then America is recommended.

smileyYou have a point but have you thought about depression? A lot of people especially Nigerians in those countries are depressed. You may be surprised that why are they depressed when they are in a good country? This question bring us to look into certain factors that cause depression for them.

Using Nigerians as a case study, we are a fun loving people and boredom isn't for us. In Finland and other Nordic countries, they commit suicide because of boredom. Yes, they have everything, even things that are not available to most Americans but that doesn't stop the rate at which Nordic citizens commit suicide due to boredom.

Migration is lifetime plan. It requires determination and knowing what you want in life. You need to think about what makes you happy in a country. As a Nigerian, with no doubt, America is the best country. Reason is because it is the most diverse country in the world, you will get to see different nationalities and make friends with them. Apart from that, there are countless number of Nigerians there so it feels like home.

@emboldened It's not only in Canada but it also happens in those countries you mentioned. No country is perfect and you should know this but Canada has a balanced system that is similar to both United States of America and Scandinavian nations. That is one of the advantages of living in Canada because you have the best of the two.
Even though you never move, this has lots of wisdom, I sabi your rep as a great reader, that's why the way must clear for you, you nailed the point. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and get boring, thinking of home, is enough to Zap me to the realm of Appreciation.

That's a nice point though, very true. German student visa used to be one of the easiest in Europe, but once the rejected USA and Canada applicants got to know about the easy route, everything became saturated.

Ireland is towing the same lane. lipsrsealed

Lol.. I knew you would ask this question. For your question, yes. I don't care about nationality or anything. As long as i love her, i would gladly marry her whether she is a single mother or not.

I once dated a single mother in the past and she is a Nigerian. I left her simply because her family don't want her to marry someone younger than her.

She is 7 years older than me and she has 4 beautiful kids but I don't care about that. I love her for her.

Those Nigerians that call single mothers "evening newspaper" are not enlightened.
Haaaaaaa, that's too much, 7yrs, she go quick old o, me dey find young sissy. That's why we like them younger.
Its not that it's bad, some of them with good firm body will be great. Its actually about the person tho.

Yes, it used to be super fantabulous. But right now, they seem to have closed the doors on Nigerian students. Getting an interview date has now become extremely hard.

The result? Nigerian students are now looking elsewhere. Quite painful.
It's not door they close, it's the fact that lots of people are squeezing their way through the poor door. Irish Visa takes 5 weeks, I got mine in 7.

Better start believing b4 reality drawns on you! Even the OP agreed nd he is a student in Ireland
UK might be exception though because interracial couples are really common there with lots of immigrants nd open minded people!
Very true, i spoke to an Irish lecturer, just chatting while the students settle. She was asking me how I found the country, weather, people. I told her I love the weather and she was surprised. But the people are too dull, she laughed and said, ireland opened the borders just 30yrs ago. So the people need time to adjust. That is why they'll shine their eyes like they swallow eba bigger than their throat.

You never heard the word? It literally mean "once you date a black guy we dnt want you back" bt their lady are very curious especially in a country with few black immigrants! They will prefer satisfying their curiosity rather than being in a serious relationship.
I really do enjoy your thread, it seems you booked a window seat specially because most travellers love seating beside the window grin nd what airline did you use?
I'm just two months plus in country unlike una wey don dey. Its crazy tho, if I was in the USA, I for don cruise.

Haha funny guy, infact the lady will be stigmatized because they believe "once you go black we dnt want you back" So their lady seems to avoid black guys because of the society! White guys are really protective of their women grin
Go black as how, some of them are curious. One was winking at me in the bus, I was seriously deep in thought then, it caught me off guard that I didnt just grinned.

They have lots of insecurities, they're just laid back. I dont know if its the cold.

Looking back, after I boarded, It felt good sitting inside, the light inside the plane, boarding music, and all just felt right. I researched and took the window seat so I can enjoy the view, it felt great, wasn't disturbed at all. I got up once to take a leak.
The two gentlemen had to stand up for me.
That stuff you see is a touchscreen remote to the little screen at the perfect angle for eyes with a retractable cord.
The seat belt was quite old, I get why people get confused and need help. These folks are smart, they provide directions for almost everything. People see and do not observe.
With some fiddling, the stuff locked and I was secured and ready for the Next big challenge.
The challenge was Big cos it's my first time and I took a window seat at the tail of the plane, learnt my lesson o.

Spent a long time waiting after I boarded, there were no more chairs, Murtala airport eh, had to be standing.
My mum with arthritis stood so much that she had to put her bag on the floor and sit, she thought its Nigeria.
When I got to Qatar, I saw that Nigeria was where I can confidently say, I pitied my grandmother, grand father, and uncle who died without seeing something better.
As I type, the Irish government has made a move to pay people for losing their job due to Corona virus. Can you imagine that.
The indian ambassador to Ireland has assured indian students that wont be sent out of the hostel here in Ireland. The question I asked was where is our ambassador, is he there to eat salary or do his job?

I'm glad you have some self respect! Nw this is someone that is honest nd have know the reality of a white man's country! But if you were to find an attractive young white girl nd she's interested in you will you go for her?Or you naturally not interested in white girls?
I wont say I'm not interested in white girls, I'm curious actually, i would love to know what its like but, curiosity kills the Chiggs, I dont want my head to be bashed by a jealous white male. Even holding hands on the road, will attract stares. shocked cool

OK. Kindly shed more light in how you get the menial jobs. Also how did you get your part time job?

I PMed you because I'm actually in Ireland and we can connect.
For students and part time jobs, its straightforward. I wish I knew this, I had to probe and investigate to get this info I'm about to share.

It used to be that you print CV, carry envelopes and be distributing upandown.
All that is required of you is to walk in to a Recruitment Agency, and get a job For Free.
Depending on the job, you might be needed to get Food safety certificate if you work as a Barista or restaurant or Manual handling certification if you wanna work in a warehouse. Each of them is a few hours course, €35 each.
For official jobs, apply online, LinkedIn. Scatter CV in the virtual space like seeds.

I got mine on Facebook, It was advertised by an Agency and I pinged them and that was it. I didnt pay a cent, no be kobo here.

Living in Finland is better than living in America or Canada.

In Finland once you have their papers as a nursing mother you get placed on government salary and welfare and several other packages.

Canada has good welfare too but USA is the worst.
USA hasn't been doing well recently, Trump is closing the borders for a reason.
Canada is very Golden, the snow.....
The issue with Finland is language, Finish I guess, following the thread, the guy there is doing well.
You see of you apply to that country, your chances of visa success is high.
Germany also is Fantabulous, Language is the major barrier.
Ireland has their own language but its taught in their schools, because most of them drop out of school, some dont learn their local language as it should be.

You must really be discipline because most of our Nigerian guys will quickly grab the opportunity grin some marry great grand ma for green card so definitely they wnt have problem with a single mother. Bt if you could find a young single Irish girl that likes you let her family know about you nd fortunately if they like you wnt have much problem!
I'm glad you can see the reality nw because most blacks think white girls are usually interested in them because of their BBC grin the only white girls that are easy to pick are unattractive, fat, single mother or old white women!! Only the rich nd famous black guys are getting the attractive white girls!
Yeah true, I really hold myself to high standard and deserve the best.
With all the cultural shock, I'll now another person white pikin that can tell me to my face Bleep off. I go beat.....
I've seen a single case, small sharp black man with one white lady that's on the huge side, its obvious he wont Look at her side in his country.

Even the rich blacks will achieve that in the UK and USA.
