I couldn't connect my phone to pc since April, but I've sorted it out since June. Am now on Miui 8, developer rom beta. If anybody still can't connect their phone to pc via mass storage to send or receive files. Quote me, and I'll help out.

I am on Chinese developer rom dated 21st April 16. When I plug in my Redmi Note 2 prime to my pc after flashing the rom, the phone doesn't show USB mass storage anymore. Pls I need help guys. All it does after plugging it in is charge.

with the same network provider and same location, I get better speeds on other phones.

Seriously, am not faking it,but I get 2mbps in the afternoon with etisalat on this phone unlike other phones I've used. It's just this activate your account that started after flashing all of December's Chinese ROMs.

You need to login to en.miui.com.forum.php to finish your registration which includes linking your account with an email and phone number and also verifying the email and phone number

It's advisable to upgrade to Global rom.

Global ROM doesn't come pre-rooted. That's why I use the Chinese Developer ROM.

Am on Chinese developer ROM on my Redmi Note 2 Prime. I have an issue downloading themes from the Miui theme store. I get "log into your Mi Account now",even though am logged into my Mi Account already. Anybody experiencing this,and how did you overcome it pls,I need help on this matter. Screenshot attached.

Go to freaktab.com,look for the cubetalk 9x default rom,use SP flash tool on PC to flash it.

If you want an update,flash the developer rom,it won't give you any authentication errors. If you're scared because of the updates, flash it and don't update, when updates come out. Or stick to your MIUI 6. Am currently on developer rom v5.11.12 latest I updated 3 days ago,the update was 801mb.

Please I tried flashing my phone with the latest miui7 ROM but it keeps on telling me authentication failed and then the ROM file is corrupt just after updating.. How am I to go about it please?

There are two roms on that site, the stable rom and the developer rom,if you downloaded the stable one and it won't update,giving you authentication error,then download the developer rom and flash.

BATTERY.The hardware especially the FHD screen is what consumes the battery the most,you're sure to get a full day's use when the battery is full. I'll rate the battery on a scale of 1-10 coming from the Cubetalk 9x,on a 6.

CAMERA. The 13mp does its work really well. Xiaomi made no mistakes in this category. On a scale of 1-10,the camera is on 8.

Processing power. This is this phone's selling point they've also made no mistakes on this category. The 2.2ghz handles tasks like a pro. On a scale of 1-10 again, this processor scores a 9.

Ram management. The company could've done a whole lot better by making this a 3gb ram device,instead of 2,you might ask why 2gb isn't quite interesting to me,its because of Xiaomi's ROM Miui,its a "RAM eater". U get just 1.2 free on turning on the device and a further spiral down with time,on a scale of 1-10,RAM management is 5. SOLUTION. U can try another launcher if u seriously need it.

MIUI. This ROM loves RAM but is worth it. It NEVER lags even if free RAM is at 258. It's beautiful, and it has over a million themes on the miui theme store.

There's really a whole lot of changes and improvements to the device after the update too numerous to even mention ;
Better battery life,more efficient Ram management,the phone now automatically remembers your last network mode ie no need to manually change from 4G LTE to 3G every time you switch Sims,display settings improved with included reading Mode,camera UI changes with Beauty Mode etc,gallery improvements,more adjustable front sizes etc
Child mode,Guest mode,more themes,changes in the settings menu,notification toggle changes,file manager changes and overall smoother UI.
Really Xiaomi brought a lot of changes both cosmetic and otherwise to the new MIUI it makes the phone seems like a different device altogether,am impressed..

Am on it brother,and you didn't say one lie there.
