So, I got my tecno Camon C8 yesterday at Slot for 25,900. I'm still not over how awesome the phone is yet. Everything about it is so sleek and on fleek mehn
Oh! The UI is fresh, easy to customize.

I got the phone to just check out the Camera and Oh! I have just been misbehaving, taking pictures of everything and anything all day. No filter and these pictures have just been super on point.

The earpiece is really on point, been jamming awesome indie. This Camon is a steal for its price, I feel like I cheated the company to get this beauty though. What do you think?

The infinix's camera is not even a competition. Forget it. See people doing camera test at Tecno at tecno stands in 3CHUB. The camera is winning

Oboy dis phone has an a 53 Quad core and all infinix phones has an a 7 cores... this phone is actualy faster than infinix hote note and a little bit slower than hote note pro because of the ghtz and also the 2gb ram... and also dont forget that there is still an a9,a12,a17, before u can get an a53 and secondly this is a medistek 6735 which was made this year... unlike the 6592 octacore 32 bit a7 made late 2013

Ope o. Someone (that understands chipset) is now speaking my language. Open their eyes to see mehn! Tecno is using one of the latest MTK chips... Performance just got better.

The Camon is 1GB ram... and that alone makes it inferior to this phone.
And again, the camon has the same specs save for the camera, but the Hot's 2GB ram and the potential for regular updates kills off the Camon.

Anyone who knows what low ram can do will understand what device to choose.

End of story.

1GB RAM makes the phone inferior? Funny go tell that to Sony and Samsung devices with 1GB RAM. Their prices gan no gree come down. 1GB RAM for the Camon is an okay though. Doesn't make it inferior, can and should be increased, but doesn't make it inferior. Tests have shown that it's performance is still magnificent.

Lumia is a Windows phone, it runs on the most fluid OS that is windows, it doesn't need more RAM like Android device. Meanwhile I have read a comprehensive review of the Camon C8 on geek.ng and I must say the camera is quite impressive even though it lost against Huawei Honor 6 in low light shooting. The first pic was taken with Camon C8 while the second pic taken with Huawei Honor 6, both pictures were taken without flashlight.

Added to the lens of the Honor 6 is a night mode feature the Camon doesn't. Plus the two gadgets aren't of same price. The Camon tried coming close by adding Dual Led flash. I think that's good enough. And exactly my point, the 1GB ram isn't exactly a problem because the lollipop OS is more fluid than the Kitkat. Way more fluid. So much ram may only be a waste. Of course, the 1GB ram should be increased, but testes have shown the 1GB to be impressive as it efficiently managed a number of heavy apps without any lags.

I think the Camon is a good buy for the price though.

sincerely, sometimes I can't help but wonder if tecno does any form of research or if they have any business development executives in their organisation. In a very short time, they'll spend so much on advert & people won't end up buying. How in this very age will they keep launching several mobile phones with 1g ram & top it up with a classless body finish. it's regrettably lugubrious if you ask me.

i like your thinking. i am just recovering from an asus fonepad that is the absolute pit, looking at this camon spec and i feel even sadder for my choice, if only i had been patient a little.

I'm hoping I lay my hands on the Camon too sha. Hoping it happens soon. I'll like to see how the Hot 2 is better :/

Yes naaaa its all over hyped the fone itself seem too light and fragile the only big deal there is the OS Lollipop which itself is another pain in the a$$. For example no File Manager by default, you can't change your ringtone to one of your choice, no Wi-Fi Direct (there's hotspot though), you can't change your notification light settings or stop the Heads Up Notification thing amongst others. Still watching though

Just be looking your own. All the judgement go end by September when Tecno don release the Camon.

to all those comparing the infinix h2 to the canon c8 have u used any of them side by side to start judging them.heck many people haven't even started using both phones and is the camon c8 even available for sale yet

personally, i'm an infinix fan as they have continued to impress with each new product. Tecno on the other hand are just trying to catch up but they need to step up their game specs and price wise. Tecno's camera cannot be trusted. Hotnote 2mp front camera is sharper than some of their 13mp back cameras. If they claim the Camon has a high quality camera even in low-light, then i cant wait to review it. but honestly, i"m skeptical.
