RAM!!!! you know it matters a lot, you can't expect 1gb ram phone to perform the way a 2gb ram would, even the display of hot 2 is slightly better than the C8 though they have the same resolution of 720x1280 but hot 2 has a higher ppi 294 against C8 267. Regarding the battery and camera of C8 I think we should wait until the phone is out because I have seen a 3000mah battery that performs worse than a 2000mah battery, and likewise an 8mp camera could be better than a 13mp, it is about the camera sensor not the number of pixels. I am not saying C8's camera and Battery are not good but we should until we have a hands on review before concluding that it's better than the hot 2.

Of course man... just like you did now, I was doing too. Everyone is giving their opinions. Which I think is cool enough. The Nokia Lumia 720 is a camera centric phone and it's RAM is half that of the Camon C8. Soo? I'm also for let's wait and see, you know?

Tecno aren't holding any card back, the phone is made of plastic not any tougher material. Its screen is of ips material with no added protection so there is nothing durable about this. Even if tecno had said this product comes with gorillas glass 7, I still will know they are lying, just the same way they lied about tecno r7 getting a kitkat update and the said phone having corning gorilla glass.
Strange fact is, its people who never bough tecno phones that stand on the forefront of this train saying its leading to anywhere but down.
Am still here just gather facts.

they are different brand.... i own A ltd, B ltd and C ltd doesnt means A,B and C ltd does the same thing... they are set for different goals... as for me, i believe that Tecno is a brand for the general nigerians, most expecially the working class, Itel is for non working class with low income, and Infinix is for students.

tecno has a very strong offline presence in our markets, and as with any popular product it is the referrals by those using it that would get t more customers. Tecno would be very fine.

And I think they know this that you know as well as parrotibaba's point. Business can have 50/50 chances, I think the tecno people are choosing the side to be on. The infinix people have chosen theirs. Let's see how the game ends. LOL

#fact2 In this part of the world ,preference is low on our agenda but price n sustainability are. Do you know how many Nigerians that will love to drive the latest Bucati or Porsche in town? but they can't, why? because it's costly. Take a look at Infinix ,de were crap b4 ,selling hot frying pans at a high cost n de lost many customers as a result but they repackaged n grabbed the Nigerian market with full force, their infinix hot having the highest sales in Nigeria n now their new phones r well received by Nigerians with price playing a decisive part in their success. Now look at the tecno mobile phones ,when de came newly ,de started booming cos dia phones were cheap compared to d likes of HTC ,Samsung ,LG etc. They got a large fan base as ppl trooped to buy their devices. You should hv been here in 2013 when tecno dominated this phone section ,every tecno release hits front page then but no longer now. The phantom z flopped massively in sales n so did the R7. Where r the so called loyalist? busy singing Infinix praise.

#fact3 Yes ppl will definitely buy this phone no doubt about that but how many will if the price remains like it is? How many ppl bought the tecno d9 when it came out last 2 years? it was selling for 30k n when it was too late ,de reduced the price to 23k. What about the J7 that started out selling for 28k? shey na 25-24k e de sell now despite the hype. Price rules preference my brother.

I'm however still saying this phone cannot be sold at the same price the hot 2 was sold because of the extras added to the camera, it may eventually reduce from the 26-30k range, but I think it's really worth it though. I do get your points really. The price of the hot 2 is probably so because two companies were with a mission. I think there are many factors to consider in this whole thing sha. But I really do get your point.

the hot 2 will ,I'm 100% sure of it. The specs on this phone r pretty average apart from the camera n selling it 4 27-30k is bad business when the hot 2 is selling for 19k n with the promise of future updates by the partnership with Google's android one project ,a thing lacking in tecno phones.

Some people see tecno, infinix and itel, yet they go for Samsung and Sony, why do you think this? Because the devices speak for themselves. Quality. It only looks like the tecno people are very sure of what they have done, and they believe the product's quality would speak for itself. Impression would come. Looks like a mind. yea,its also probably the same chip used in d infinix hot 2. from what i,'ve seen in other phones it scores around 35000 in antutu compared to the 29000 scored by the infinix hot note pro.plus the malit720 is actually better than Mali 450 but most people assume 8cores is better than 4 forgetting that what actually matters is performance not numbers.remember the iPhone 6 uses a tri-core cpu

All the years Tecno have been selling phones, their phones have never broken any record, meanwhile this year alone, Infinix has broken more than 2 records in terms of sales and endorsments. There are over 100 phone brands in the market and Google picked Infinix to partner with for the Android one program in Africa.

brotherly, haven't you seen the specs? it's a mtk 6735 64bit quad core, 1.3GHz mali T720 chip na. The cheap was released this year sef. It's nothing close to outdated though.
