Awo(Ahworh) simply means colour, appearance..maybe even description
Awo Ewe would mean colour of a leaf/leaf's colour

To describe something green would be "alawo ewe" = that which has the colour of a leaf

Doesn't awo also mean skin? I'm not sure, I understand English much better than yoruba I only knew the three basic colours (pupa, funfun and dudu) oh and while we're at it isn't ifun a sheep or something? That'd explain funfun if I was right.
