titoakala:By GPA I mean ur WAEC GPA. U can use www.foreign credits.com to get a rough aggregate. Going for undergraduate at 28 ? Admission is no problem, but getting VISA might be hard. . U need SAT for most tangible scholarship in USA. If ur parents can sponsor u , then search for schools . u have to do the searching urself. U can use college board to eliminate some schools. U can ask of Canadian schools too, they don't need SAT. Though I don't know much about them . Use GOOGLE. Ur TOEFL score is just OK. Its not very high score , bear than in mind. Very few schools use TOEFL only for scholarship consideration . |

The Senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has created a frenzy on Twitter by openly declaring the incumbent governor of Kogi State and a gubernatorial aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Captain Idris Wada as the better candidate for the forthcoming Kogi governorship election. Senator Dino who is a member of the All Progressive Congress, APC, clearly stated that his party candidate in the state Prince Abubakar Audu can not be compared to the Governor. In his tweet, “In all fairness, you can’t compare Wada with Abubakar Audu. Under Wada, Kogi has made much more progress!”, Dino said. Dino, known for his controversial stance once accused a national leader of the governing All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, of plotting to have him removed from the Senate for supporting Bukola Saraki to emerge as the Senate President. As at the time of filing this report the tweet has been deleted source :http://www.thebreakingtimes.com/dino-melaye-sparks-controversy-after-tweet-endorsing-idris-wada/ |

Barr Bassey Okon Willie, a witness for the Akwa Ibom governor, Udom Emmanuel and the PDP, told the governorship tribunal sitting in Abuja Friday that he signed all the result sheets for Oron Local Government Area contrary to electoral rules. Willie said this during his testimony at the continuation of hearing on the matter. The All Progressive Congress candidate, Umana Umana had approached the tribunal challenging conduct of the April poll and declaration of Udom Emmanuel as winner of the election. Willie said the result sheets were signed by one agent because other ward collation agents could not make it to the Local Government Collation Centre, as the engine boats in which they were travelling developed fault. He said the development caused the ward collation agents to resort to manual paddling. The witness, who admitted that he was the Local Government Collation Agent, added that he signed the result sheets for Ward 4, even though Elder Effiong Atanang was the PDP Ward 4 collation agent. His testimony contradicted the witness disposition of Elder Effiong Atanang, who said he signed the Ward 4 result. Barr Willie, during cross examination also told the tribunal that election results can be collated outside Ward collation centres “as was the case in Oron”. He said lightening and security made it impossible for election results to be carried out at designated collation centres and that led to collation elsewhere with the support of security agents and INEC officials. He further stated that he was not aware that election results were supposed to be entered into forms EC8A, EC8B and EC8C. Another witness, a former PDP state chairman, Uwem Ita Etuk, during cross examination told the respondent’s counsel, Dayo Akinlaja, that “he will give him what he wants”. His statement was in response to a request by the counsel to provide answer to a question. The witness added, “if anyone says no election took place in the area, then INEC should be told to answer for it”. Counsel to INEC, Obinna Onyia, declined cross examining the witness. When asked to state between number of accredited voters and votes cast, which should be higher during election, he said he does not know, as he was only a voter at polling unit 003. Also testifying, Mr. Jude Edet, the Local Government collation agent for Ibesikpo Asutan, said it was wrong for Dr Ita Udosen and former governor Victor Attah to have testified that there was no election in the area. He denied knowing the names of other PDP ward agents in the area, despite the fact that he was the local government collation agent. He however admitted that it was wrong for total votes cast to be higher than total number of accredited voters, saying such a development amounts to fraud. "Ghost can't vote", he added. After the testimony of these witnesses, the respondent’s counsel, Paul Usoro, who had earlier pledged to call eight witnesses, asked the court for adjournment, saying, "My Lord, we've had enough from these witnesses for today". The tribunal then adjourned to Monday, September 7, 2015. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/politics/a-ibom-guber-i-signed-result-sheets-for-15-wards-witness/109408.html |

The House of Assembly tribunal case between Sdyney and Chinedum Orji (Ikuku) became a confession ground for one of Ikuku’s witness. He immediately said “I will confess, I will say the truth” and the multitude in court shouted back “Say the truth”. The witness started by saying “I was the Chinedum’s agent in my ward and during the counting of the casted votes, he got 4 votes before thugs came and hijacked the materials. He went on to say that he was given 2 million naira to come and testify. At the end of his testimony, the judge ordered that security men escort to him home and make sure he is safe. source:puoreports http://www.puoreports.com/2015/09/drama-in-abia-tribunal-as-holy-spirit.html |
The Appeal Court sitting in Owerri, Imo State, has struck out the appeal filed by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, challenging the earlier ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal which dismissed his petition against the election of Governor Rochas Okorocha for lack of merit. Thirty-seven days after the election petition tribunal dismissed her petition challenging the victory of the Labour Party candidate for the House of Representatives in Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire, Segun Ogunwuyi, the court of appeal on Friday dismissed the appeal filed by a former Majority leader of the house of representatives, Mulikat Akande-Adeola. The court of appeal upheld the decision of the tribunal which dismissed Akande-Adeola's petition for failure to apply for pre-hearing session within the time prescribed by the electoral act 2010 (as amended). While delivering the judgment on Friday in Ibadan, Justice Mudasiru Oniyangi held that the petition was dead on arrival and could not be resurrected, as all the seven issues raised by the appellant were resolved against her. He held further that once a petitioner is served a respondent's reply to the petition, the petitioner's time to apply for pre-hearing session begins to run immediately. According to the judge, "The petition in this case is dead on arrival and cannot be resurrected." Akande-Adeola's counsel, Omoniyi Odeyemi, appeared for her while Oladayo Koleola and Abibat Bankole from Afe Babalola & Co. appeared as counsel for Ogunwuyi. It would be recalled that the three-man tribunal that sat on the petitions arising from the conduct of March 28 Oyo state National and State Assembly elections on June 30 dismissed Akande-Adeola's petition for failure to apply for pre-hearing session within the required seven days.
