*EMEKA CHINEDU'S CONTINUITY: A STRATEGIC MBAISE PROJECT, NOT A PERSONAL AMBITION*

The conversation about Hon. Emeka Chinedu's continuity in the House of Representatives should no longer be framed as politics of personal interest. It is far bigger than one man. It is an *Mbaise Project. An Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Project.*

For years, our dear Federal Constituency has shouted from the sidelines of national politics. We have had representation, but we have not had POSITIONING. And in the National Assembly, positioning is everything.

Today, history and law have presented us with a rare golden opportunity that we must not waste out of sentiment or political gimmicks.

As you are aware, the new legislative convention and ranking rule in the National Assembly has changed the game completely. Only lawmakers returning for a *Third Term and above* are eligible to vie for *Principal Offices* - Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, Chief Whip and other powerful leadership positions where real national decisions, budget allocations, committee chairmanships and federal presence are negotiated. It is about who sits where the national cake is shared.

Hon. Emeka Chinedu has paid the dues. He has served two impactful terms. He is not a bench warmer. He has shown CAPACITY, LOYALTY, INTELLECT, and NETWORK. He is well-positioned, well-respected, and well-connected across party lines in the Green Chamber. He has built bridges in Abuja that Ahiazu/Ezinihitte is now ready to harvest.

If we bring a new person now, we are resetting the clock to ZERO. That new person will spend 4 years learning the rules, locating his seat, and finding his voice, while others who are 3rd timers from other constituencies are becoming Chairmen of juicy committees and Principal Officers deciding the fate of Nigeria. Our constituency will become a spectator for another 4 years. Can Mbaise afford that?

Returning Hon. Emeka Chinedu for a 3rd term is strategic wisdom: This is not about PDP, APC,NDC, Labour. This is about MBAISE. Let other constituencies gamble with new faces.

Emeka Chinedu's 3rd term is not his personal project. It is our collective insurance to reposition Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in the national political map.

A word is enough for the wise. Ndi Ahiazu/Ezinihitte and Mbaise at large should have a rethink. Continuity and consistency are KEY political growth. 2027 is not time for another experimentation.

Anyone can make grand promises about tomorrow. But a legitimate question remains: how do you entrust public resources to someone who has never demonstrated any willingness to make a personal sacrifice for the people? Personal sacrifice is not the only measure of leadership, but it is certainly one measure of character, commitment and capacity. *THE PAIN OF MBAISE AND THE WISDOM OF RANKING*

Yes, Mbaise, the largest clan in Imo, does not have a Senator. It hurts.

But do we throw away our one lantern because we want two, and enter total darkness? Mba!

The House works by ranking. If we return Emeka for a 3rd term in 2027, he becomes a Principal Officer. His voice will be louder than some Senators. That is how we command federal jobs, boards, and projects, and build muscle to produce a Senator in 2031.

If we remove him now, we go back to zero with a learner.

Ahiazu/Ezinihitte does not need a learner. We need a master.

Some opposition are shouting "He has done nothing." But they know he is the only one doing something. They are shouting "no third term" because they want to enter and do nothing for 4 years.

_THE STRATEGIC WISDOM:_

If we remove Emeka Chinedu now, we will have NOTHING - No Senator, no ranking House member. Ahiazu/Ezinihitte will go back to 2019.

But if we return him for a THIRD TERM, he will become a _Principal Officer_ of the House of Representatives. A ranking member. His position will be bigger than some Senators! Then he will have the power to attract federal presence, fight for Mbaise to produce Senator in 2031, and make Ahiazu/Ezinihitte the pride of Imo.

_We must protect the one we have, while we fight for the one we don't have._
