Pls am on bended knees those that used henrico dr, s hospital what was ur bill with epidural for vaginal delivery
pretty pls with a cherry on top.
still searching for any mums going to henrico drs hospital april/may in richmond virginia
Hello dear! I'm currently in virginia. Using henrico Dr's hospital in richmond. Epidural was quoted 1450. Incase you are unaware they have increased their hospital bill to 4200 and 1k for baby a total of 5200. That's the new price. But if u got the old quote from the hospital and you have it printed out, they will honour the old price.

Not true! I travelled at 35 weeks and 4 days on emirates. Just take your fit to fly showing your Edd. The do copies of it.

Hello mamas. In the spirit of giving back;
My POE experience:
I flew Emirates airline on Sunday from Lagos. Presented my fit to fly that I found on their website at check in. Arrived Dubai at 5am the following day. Went straight to Dubai connect to get my visa, then immigration to get it stamped and proceeded to the hotel stand in the airport as I was booked in Copthorne hotel

Thank God for safe trip and smooth POE, pls how many weeks were you when you travelled and was it the medif certificate you downloaded from emirate website you submitted and did u include your doctor fit to fly from your hospital? Pls how much was the flight to Dallas? Kindly reply, thank you.

Went straight to Dubai connect to get my visa, then immigration to get it stamped and proceeded to the hotel stand in the airport as I was booked in Copthorne hotel (Hotel and visa courtesy the Airline.) Layover was for 22 hours. Spent the day sleeping, walking around the hotel and yea free buffet ( breakfast, lunch and dinner courtesy emirates ).
Left for the airport at 12am ( free transportation to and fro the airport; courtesy Emirates ) 16 hours flight to Dallas was at 2:50am. Landed in Dallas at 9am Dallas time, proceeded to CBP. Met the nicest old man as the CBP officer, spent barley a minute with him. All he asked for was my correspondence with my doctor and stamped my passport till September.
Picked my luggage and went to check in for my connecting flight as I was heading to Oklahoma.
Currently chilling in Oklahoma.
Thank you to all the Mummies here for all the information that helped prepare for this trip.

ThankGod for safe trip and smooth POE. Pls how many weeks were you when u travel and was it only the medif certificate you presented at the airport or u also included your doctor report?

is it a new policy?cos my wife used port health certificate last time she travelled with emirate.
I know of 2 or 3 pple here who got their medical certificate frm port health. To be on the safe side go to port health and find out and if they do issue for emirate, collect it, then download the Medit form on emirate website for your doctor to fill and sign together with your fit to fly letter from your doctor. From their policy one is meant to submit to their office for clearance 48 hours before your flight date but someone here took the Medit form together with her fit to fly letter to the airport on the flight date and they collected it. Make copies of the certificates and fit to fly letter for yourself incase they keep the originals.

I flew emirates to LA 4th Feb... at 34 weeks... like the other lady said, it's 36weeks for single day pregnancy n 32weeks for multiple . By the way, emirates does not ask for port health cert.. just search for the medical cert on the heir Web site, get ur doc to fill I out, sign n stamp.. take it along with ur fit to fly letter from ur hospital. . Make copies ooo they will retain a copy during check in.. good luck
They asked for a medical certificate not port health certificate. And port health at the airport would ve to certified you that you are fit to fly also even with your letter frm the doctor. For the MEDIT you have to download it frm their website and submit atleast not more than 48 hours to your flight date.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm just within limit!

Yay!
I'm flying with emirate at 35 weeks and some days. I called them and told them my destination which was more Dan 8 hours. I was told to bring along a doctor report and a medical certificate that I'm fit to fly. But once u are at the end of your 36 weeks I'm nt sure they can fly you. The medical certificate is gotten at the airport from port health for 1500 or so.

So you now determine whether I understand or not. Kontinu. I understood more when the other two ladies explained! Well if you must know, I was well within my rights to address him for bringing children into the matter. I didn't have an issue with his explanation until he started addressing children. Wasn't it me that asked question? I asked him question on discounts, e enter low income matter. Like I will go and be telling them I earn less that $200. Leomwe and Mama00 that answered sensibly, aren't they human beings? Abeg, let's learn to talk civilly. Whether you abuse people or not, people will still be what they are and do what is in their mind. So why get headache over the matter. It is not the truth you are saying that is the problem, it is how you say it. Aren't you the one setting the rules of being cordial in our conversations again? If you are encouraging him to be rude, then it will continue.

I don sign out for this matter. Make we discuss important issues for here.

the way and manner you answer a question matters. The Twood guy is always harsh in all his responses. Whether he is preaching the truth or not. We all shld be cordial in our conversation. The other two ladies pass the same point and was cordial about. Things shldnt be taken personal here. It's really unnecessary I agree with minimum 100 percent.

At what rate are they doing the form A?. Because I am aware there was a circulation of memo that school fees, medicals and PTA can now be processed by banks but the rate was not stated.

You would be given cash but that's if you have had the account for up to 6 months. Mine is just 5 months old and I was told I couldn't apply for PTA with them. I had to resort to Stanbic. Thankfully, I got $2k at 402.9 yesterday
Oh okay! Thanks for the info 2k is better than none o. I guess I ve to run back to stanbic.

Hi Chiprettie, I am not travelling till end of July or very early in August, my budget is about $2,000 for accomodation. I intend leaving 2 weeks after delivery to stay with MIL who lives in Baltimore. It's a 2hrs 30mins drive by bus from Richmond to where she stays. I am really confused cos I don't want to save money on delivery fees only for accommodation to take the bulk of my funds.
How close is your extended stay acc from the doc/hosp and how much?
Well the only option I have now is the extended stay and is about 1500 for a month. Atleast you have a place to go to after delivery so it depends on u, most pple living in Richmond Virginia are whites and they ask for ssn before they can rent out and it's relatively cheap as low as $600. So still weighing my option and still hunting. I have d hotel as a backup in case I dnt see any cheaper one and the hotel is about 2miles to hospital and doctor office which is a plus for me, so use so you have to consider the distance and also factor in transportation cost even if u get a cheaper accommodation which is far away from d hospital. So the option of sharing with someone comes into play. But u r a July mum and I'm april mum though there is an april/may mum using the same hosp, doc and hotel so we are stil working on how best to share or get an apartment to share.

To be honest with you it's got some benefits e.g the PTA thingy well the minimum balance is 1m if you don't have the balance every month you will be charged 5k every month but as sharp gal concern wink wink another benefit 500,000 Naira worth Life insurance you can visit some lounge at the airports also some VIP lounges in the bank. Hope it's helpful thou
Thanks for ur response, but u didn't exactly answer my questions though. I wanted to know if u were given cash or was loaded in a card, and wanted to know if I can apply immediately I open the account.
