1 Complete passport application online https://passport.immigration.gov.ng
2 Passport photo digital white background (ICAO International Civil Aviation Organisation compliant picture). However picture to appear on passport is physical photo capture when you go for in-house biometrics.

3 Upload attestation letter from NPC (NPC requires Declaration of age from High Court to issue this) However I submitted my Declaration of Age alone
4 state of origin certificate,
5 passport datapage,
6 make payment and book an appointment.

Notes
1 Appointment for biometric enrolment usually a week later after form completion and payment.
2 Visit office with vetted application form (vetted means approved. Wait until you get mail saying Application Status is approved), Appointment slip, Receipt of Payment, Old passport booklet
3 The official passport price is 100k for 5 years and 200k for 10yrs
4 National population commission attestation letter 3,000 https://attestation.nationalpopulation.gov.ng/welcome You can apply yourself, but needs to be approved, that’s where NPC staff will bill you like 2,000.
5 High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Plot 426 Tigris Cres, Aguiyi Ironsi St, Maitama
Declaration of age 2,050 at the office, 5,000+? Online. https://varms.fcthighcourt.gov.ng/faqs
6 Visit https://track.immigration.gov.ng/ on Firefox to confirm Passport is ready for collection. Upon confirmation, can precautionarily wait 24 working hours before going for pick up.
7 Started Application Wednesday May 13th 2026, Captured Wednesday May 20th 2026, Picked up Monday May 25th 2026. Less than 2 weeks.

This tip is for DIY Passport Renewal
The major hurdle I faced was uploading an image that meets ICAO Image guidelines.
I took the following steps to succeed with my image upload:
Download the app ReadID Me (Android/iOS)
Enable NFC on your phone (Phone must be NFC-enabled).
Enter your passport number, date of birth, and expiry date when prompted
Hold your phone flat against the biodata page until it reads (Only scans passports with NFC chips)
The app extracts and displays your stored biometric photo, which you can save
I shared what the app extracted via email so I could download my photo
Then I resized the photo to be 2x its size using Paint app on Windows PC
I uploaded the resized photo on Claude AI and asked it to process it properly according to the ICAO image guidelines for Nigeria passport portal.
I uploaded the image Claude AI generated on my passport application portal and it worked yaay!
The ICAO image issue almost drove me crazy lol because I think i tried everything
You need a NFC-enabled phone for this method.

First, this is not my first travel experience. I travelled before, came back to Nigeria and spent four years in Nigeria. Advising me to stay in Nigeria is the worst of the advise.

My four years in Nigeria, I never had any peace of mind. No peace, and driving in Nigeria, I came face to face with death on numerous occasion. Even the so-called SARS threatened to shoot me severally. Other than the insecurity in Nigeria, that would have been a viable option for me.

I did had plan before travelling. We were 3 that planned to travel together and live together. We had our visas and booked our flights, unfortunately, the other two didn't make it to Europe. Finding only myself in Europe, I had to process another paper and move to a different country immediately. Plans don't always work out exactly how it's set out. You can plan for ten years before travelling and everything gets shattered on arrival to your destination.

It is difficult but not impossible. If you have any friend or close family member resident in Deutschland, there is hope.
Is your question related to proof of funds for sustenance? Or getting a part-time (secondary employment) when you arrive Deutschland? If it is regarding securing a part-time employment contract so that you won't need to block funds, then it is very remote. But if it is about securing a part-time employment when you arrive Deutschland, it is very possible and not difficult. I hope I answered your question.

How can one easily get a part-time job in Germany from Nigeria?

You have to book an appointment online for the opportunity card. Closest to it on the booking portal is the 'other' category grouped with work permit, internship, training, au pair.
For this category you have to wait for a year to get an appointment date. The German mission in Nigeria is not even saying anything about it yet.
