Well I know and only speaking of what I did and what worked for me.

If you traveled back with your baby and didn’t use passport, kindly enlighten us on the process, cos applying and waiting for passport can add up to 3weeks extra to one’s stay.

You only think you an ETC to travel because the child was born in Canada where there is birth citizenship what if it was born in Germany?


There would be no passport because there is no citizenship by law - you would either get a Nigerian passport or use an ETC as an identification document.

An ETC is a just a one time passport

You can expedite passport processing, I think there is different options including same day. But this will only work if both parents are present in Canada, if the father is not in Canada, he will be required to visit the Canada high commission located in the country he is in to sign the application and this is based on appointment.
