Not easy at all but its worth it at the end of the day. Being a lpr is lovely. |
pretty16:Yeah was on fb1 category. Also used the childrens practice for my medicals. Wait time is 11 weeks max but you may get a case complete within 9weeks but pray nkt to get a checklist. Cus that will reset your time back to 11 weeks. If you are on visajourney i dropped my consulate review there. But overall its a done deal. But in my case i had my dna done like 2013 so that made it easier, wasnt asked for pictures or nothing. |
Hello nairalanders, I would be sharing my u.s medical examination experience so others can have a picture of what its like. Sometimes in December I got an e-mail from the national visa center (nvc) it was the packet 4 we finally got an interview date. After reading the e-mail I googled medical examination experience I only got only a few answers from countries like Philippines e.t.c I wasn't still seeing the picture I wanted. I decided to contact both designated hospitals after much contemplation we decided to visit the hospital at Victoria island( qlife family clinic) simply because the receptionist was friendly and gave me information in dept, I give them high five for that. In the early hours on the 10th of January 2017 we left home and we got to the hospital few minutes past seven two other families were ahead of us so we took number three. I was so nervous like its a medical examination if anything went bad it would delay the whole process. Few minutes past eight the clinic was opened we all who went for the medical examination sat at the reception .in about five minutes the receptionists came in and ask us all to write our names and passport numbers behind our passport photographs and put the in our international passport . she attended to both families ahead of us then we went to her, gave her our international passports and we paid the fees (via pos) The break down is I think above 15 years of age was #122,125(per person)my mum also paid#122,125 but my younger sister who is above 15 ended up paying #134,625 and my younger brother who is below 15(4) paid #72,125 the grand total was #451,000. After the payment we went for our xrays it was really quick we didn't spend up to 20 minutes after that we returned to the reception and the receptionist handed us about 4 tiles with the number 3 on it. We went back to the reception and were called on by different specialist first it was the blood . The man was quite friendly but the injection wasn't he withdrew our blood and asked if we wanted the do the h.I.v test that its optional but the syphilis was compulsory then he explained the cons that if the h.I.v comes out positive we would have to wait for two months and do the sputum test(which is for tuberculosis) was dam nervous my mum ended up answering for my sis ,I and her saying he should conduct all the test. He explaimed to us that what made the fees cost was the urynalisis that the urines are flown to south africa for the test .We left his office and headed back to the receptionist. We were called in into the immunization ward that was were we were stinged Christ it really hurt for me it was about three injections on each arm my sis was about four on each arm can't remember my mum's. But I know my little brother screemed lol. After the injection I ran back to the reception as fast as I could. Don't blame me. It was the sting Then the , i can't remember the name of the last test am guessing its "VITAL SIGNS" but our blood level was checked asked a few question's. Our eye sight was checked also we were asked to stay afar and read some letters on a screen. And our height was measured also Finally, we got called in by the doctor he asked a lot of question many of which I never expected or we never expected .after the questions was asked to pull off my shirt he checked my eyes, ears, mouth, stomach and back after that he asked me to out on my cloth and he did the same for the rest of the family(Physical Examination). So what were the questions asked, mine is coming up soon so I just want to get an idea. |
