Op I understand what you going through I’ve heard the good the bad and the ugly. But you need to hold yourself accountable for your current predicament. Your Akata wife is probably ghetto in the first place and there’s a popular saying “as you lay your bed so you shall lay in it”. That been said you’re in the land of opportunity if you feel going back to Nigeria is your best bet good luck to you but personally I will advise you to calm down. Change your circle, move with like minds and most importantly try to upgrade your skills. Opportunities will eventually show up as you will have a reason to thank God. Hi everyone!
I applied for a visitors Visa to Denmark, on the 19th of February to meet with my husband .
We got married on the 8th of January.

My husband lives in Denmark , and I was supposed to be visting for 41 days... we booked a flight for 18th of March (2 days time)
On the 27th of Feb I got a Call from the Embassy, and my husband got a mail in Denmark to confirm that he was invitIng me.... which he replied to immediately.
I was hopefully that within 2 days after the interview, I would get a message to pickup my passport !
Until now (16th of March), no messages.... nothing else !
Could anything be wrong

I included this documents during my application
1. Letter of invitation from my husband
2. His passport data page
3. My husbands residency permit .
4. His 6 months pay slip
5. My Saving statement of account (10 million naira)
6. My 4 business statement of account (1million naira)
7. My business registration certificate
8. Marriage certificate
9. Our wedding pictures (with family and friends)
10. Reference from the 2 banks I use .

Does anyone have an idea, why they havnt returned my passport yet ?
I booked a flight for 18th of this month, will this have an effect on the Visa?
I am so confused right now, as I was told it would take less than 15 days to get approval , now it’s almost 1 month .

Valuable lesson, never book your tickets until you have your passport in hand.

Regret is too harsh of a word I’ll rather use miss, I miss the island night life and the local beer parlor groove.
I miss the food because I don’t eat it as regularly as I wish unless I go to my moms place.

Apart from that I’m good, was home last year and I will still come home this year so as long as I can shuttle both countries I don’t have a problem.

This question is for those who have attended an immigrant visa interview and/or have collected their visa package from DHL...

A dependent of mine just attended the interview and they gave the person an immigrant summary sheet that she sent me a picture of, indicating that everyone who was given an immigrant visa is require to pay $220 that will be used for processing of their card, while in the USA.

This fees is legit, but to pay this fees, one need the A-Number and the DOC Case#, but the space where these information suppose to be written on, on the document she was given is blank....

My question, it appear that the immigration summary sheet they were given after the interview is just informational, is that correct? If you attended an immigrant interview and was successful, then you were given this document, was the space for A-Number & DOC Case# also blank in yours?

Also, it appear that one will only know their A-Number & DOC Case# after they collect their package, my research indicate that; it will be staple to the immigrant visa package that one will collect from DHL....for those who have gone through this process, is that correct?

Second question.. I got a son from out of wedlock that required me to submitted affidavit on him bfr marriage.. Does USCIS or NVC will ask me anything related to him (son) OR his mother.. (My girlfriend) whose already married at moment..?

since you are not in the USA you don’t need to sign it i130a form

That's where I live now. My immigration processing came through last year. Moved out here with my Kids . That's where my Folks live. When my Oga comes over too, if he decides here is too quiet for him, then we can relocate to another state. But for me, I like a quiet life.

Another thing is the weather here in Columbus. Unlike some states, winter time, highest snow fall we have had is 8 inches . Unlike some that experience foots of snow covering houses. No way. I am not down with that.

I recently renewed my passport at the consulate in Newyork paid the expedition fee and was told it will take at least 7days, it’s been 3 weeks now and I still haven’t received it in the mail. Has anyone had this experience recently?

Akata don’t have culture but they love Africans though. Talking from my experience.

you can start by getting a secured credit card or or something like that although I didn’t get my first one like that try capital one I believe they will issue you one and you will build from there.
