Politics / Over 240 Insurgents Reportedly Surrender To Army by Chokoblaze(m): 3:51am On Nov 13, 2016
Over 240 members of insurgent group, Boko Haram, have reportedly surrendered to the Nigerian army, which is currently in a war against terrorism.

Hundreds of Boko Haram fighters and their families have surrendered in Chad in the past month, security and U.N. sources said, in a sign the military campaign against them is making headway, reports Reuters.
Boko Haram, which has killed and kidnapped thousands of people, had seized an area approximately the size of Belgium in northeastern Nigeria by last year but has since lost significant ground amid growing regional military pressure.
Analyst and security sources think the fighters are probably recent recruits that Boko Haram has struggled to retain as it has ceded territory. Defections of Boko Haram fighters have been reported in Nigeria but are not known to have previously occurred on such a large scale.
"They surrendered to our troops on the front line in Lake Chad," said Colonel Mohammad Dole, Chief Military Public Information Officer for the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) headquartered in Chad's capital N'Djamena.
"The surrenders are taking place because of the firepower of our operations. The groups, many of them armed, have been arriving since September and their number keeps increasing," he said.
Some 240 fighters, most off whom are Chadian, are now being held in detention along with their families, Dole said.
The MNJTF, with troops from Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon and Benin and intelligence, training and logistical support from the United States, launched a regional operation in July against the group, which has pledged allegiance to Islamic State.

A footballer in Mexico is accused of inadvertently killing a referee after being sent off during an amateur fixture in Tulancingo.
The Sunday league contest, taking place in the state of Hildalgo, was marred by an incident sparked by the brandishing of a red card.

Paramedics on hand rushed to the scene, initially believing that the victim had fainted, but they were unable to revive him.
According to emergency services, the referee died of a ‘widespread subarachnoid hematoma’, which was caused by a significant blow to the head.

Romance / 7 Ways To Perfect Public Display Of Affection by Chokoblaze(m): 2:21am On Nov 10, 2016
Defined in the simplest terms, public displays of affection are acts of physical intimacy in the view of others.

That is Wikipedia's definition of PDA, which basically explains the concept of putting almost every phase and activity in your relationship in people's faces.
Public displays of affection became a lot more rampant with the rise of all the social media platforms we use now.

How is the best way to go about this, and not mess it up?
The steps below will guide you through.

1. Kissing is the easiest, sweetest way to do PDA.

2. If the people around you are starting to get uncomfortable about it, it might be time to stop.

3. Make it look good. Because anything worth doing at all should be done very well.

4. Watch out for the people around. You don't want to try PDA's around those elderly men and women. Don't do it.

5. Watch the words you use if you are writing on social media.
Don't give out too much information that might haunt you if that love somehow hits the rock. The Internet never forgets.

6. It's PDA, not outdoor porn!
Always try to avoid heavy petting, or dipping your hands in your partner's most intimate parts. Leave out that part till you are behind closed doors.

7. Public display of affection is exciting, but it can also project your image in wrong light. So, you better watch out for your reputation.

Born on May 7, 1981, Maria Audete do Nascimento does not look a day over nine months, thanks to a rare disorder.

Maria who is based in Brazil is believed to have suffered from a rare and severe case of hypothyroidism at birth, which created a significant deficiency of thyroid hormones, Bored Panda reports.

The situation is reportedly made worse by the fact that her condition could have been treated or at least managed at the time.

Maria lives with her father and step-mother, Dora in a mud house in Ceara, Brazil. Her biological mother died about 13 years ago.

As frustrating and discouraging as the circumstances really are, ,Maria has gotten all the love she deserves. Dora has cared for Maria since she married her father and believes caring for Maria is her life's calling.

According to Dora, Maria is a gift from God to her and she is a beautiful message sent to her step-daughter, who needs all the care and support she can possibly get.

Thankfully, the University of Ceara Facility of Medicine has agreed to provide free treatment for Maria, which will help her speak and walk.
