Market Street City: Iowa City State: IA Category:Office Support Employment Status: FB Full-time Hours Per Pay Period: 80 Minimum:$12.33-Commensurate (to commensurate) Schedule:M-F generally 8 to 5 Department:Mercy Clinics, Cardiology Specialty Clinic Shift:1 Description Greet all patients in a professional and cordial manner whether in person or on the phone. Answer phones promptly and determine patient needs. Assisting patients by answering questions, scheduling appointments, updating demographic information, collecting payments, and directing them to the appropriate person for their need. Screen calls and take messages for other clinic staff and record daily entries for patient activity in the medical record. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Minimum Requirements Education: High school diploma required with additional training in a medical secretary preferred. Experience: Ability to deal with public in a professional and cordial manner at all times. Understanding of medical terminology. Experience with computers required.
