Its very difficult in Nigeria to make money or work and study as well, as working or looking for ways to make money mostly do affect your grades in school.

Regardless of the time that will be invested in making money, which will, in turn, affect your grades in school, most students had taken the risk and their grades had suffered for it. However, since setting up a business in school will require your time and since you cannot afford to hire a help, most students had totally given up on running a business while in school.

In this article, we are going to highlight some business you can run in school at your spare time and they will likely not have an adverse effect on your grade:

Laundry business is becoming a very popular business all over the country, and I know you might be thinking that this will not work on a student schedule. But if you look at it on a part time business point of view, it will work while giving you time to study. Well since most of your client will be students, you can schedule them to collect their laundry on weekends as you can work on a weekend and have the rest of the week to study. This will help you make extra money will school while putting your weekend to profitable use.

2. Blogging

You can make money blogging as a student; you can create your own schedule on when you update your blog to suit you. Depend on the kind of blog you are running you can update your blog once or twice a week, or you can choose to update daily at your spare time.

3. Organizing Tutorials

You can also make extra money as a student by organizing tutorials, this you can do for those preparing for UTME examination or other programs in the university if you are on a higher level.

4. Real Estate Agent

You can make money using your spare time to look for accommodation for students, especially freshers and newcomers in the school environment. You can use your knowledge of the locality and advise students on the best location they can afford depending on what they want to spend. You can as well extend your business beyond looking for accommodation for students alone as you take your real estate business to the next level.

5. You Can Make Money Online


You can use any computer skill you possess to make money online from writing, graphic designing, photoshopping skills, web designing and building website and other skills you can apply online. There are different platforms available online when you can advertise your skills and make money at your leisure time.
