The Islamic State insurgent group circulated photos and a video on social media on Tuesday purporting to show captive Jordanian pilot Muath Al-Kasaesbeh being burnt alive. The images showed a burning man standing in a cage. Kasaesbeh was apparently placed in the cage on open ground, draped in the now traditional orange robes, doused in flammable liquid, and set alight. The authenticity of the images has not been confirmed. Jordanian state TV reported that he had been killed one month ago. A relative of Kaseasbeh told Reuters that the Jordanian armed forces had informed the family that he had been killed. Kaseasbeh, 26, a first lieutenant in Jordan's air force, was captured on Christmas Ebe after his F-16 jet crash-landed near the Syrian city of Raqqa, which is held by ISIS (also known as ISIL). He was offered as a bargaining chip by ISIS, in exchange for a female suicide bomber held in Jordan. His release was purportedly being negotiated simultaneous to bargaining for the lives of two Japanese hostages, both of whom were subsequently beheaded. In the video, Kasaesbeh is shown, with a black bruise under his left eye, at the scene of an apparent western coalition air raid. Watched over by as many as nine uniformed ISIS militants, he is paraded at the rubble-strewn site, while the video flashes back to scenes of destruction from the time of the raid itself. Subsequently, he is seen standing in the cage, with a cross of flammable material under his feet. A masked executioner lights a long fuse from outside the cage, flame snakes towards Kasaesbeh , and he is burned alive. The duration of the burning is captured on the video. Kaseasbeh was carrying out air strikes against the militants when his warplane crashed near the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, the Islamic State group's de facto capital. The group has executed captured Iraqi and Syrian Muslim soldiers in the past — it follows an extremist version of Islam that considers rivals, even some Sunni Muslims, as apostates. Still, the group may want to negotiate a prisoner swap or other concessions from Jordan. After Al-Kaseasbeh capture, ISIS militants in Syria initiated a Twitter discussion on the best way to kill the "Jordanian pilot pig." The Arabic hashtag “Suggest a Way to Kill the Jordanian Pilot Pig” was retweeted over a thousand times. Some of the ideas shared by ISIS followers included beheading the pilot, burning him alive and running him over with a bulldozer. Source: http://www.haaretz.com/news/middle-east/1.640631

Asisat is an explosive forward who was voted as the most valuable player at the U20 World Cup in Canada in 2014 finishing as the top goalscorer as the Falconets finished runners up to Germany. The Reds captain will bring the curtain down on a glittering Anfield career that has spanned nearly 17 years and included 10 trophies, as well as 695 appearances and 180 goals to date since joining the club's youth system aged eight. Gerrard will not retire from professional football at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. No decision on his new club has been made yet, but he will continue his career outside the United Kingdom and at a side that will not bring him into direct competition with Liverpool. The 34-year-old admits it is with a heavy heart he will depart Liverpool, describing the decision as the 'toughest of his life', but has chosen to make it now to avoid speculation about his future. Until then, the No.8 insists he will continue to concentrate all his efforts on helping Brendan Rodgers' side achieve both domestic and European success. Explaining his decision, Gerrard said: "This has been the toughest decision of my life and one which both me and my family have agonised over for a good deal of time. "I am making the announcement now so that the manager and the team are not distracted by stories or speculation about my future. "Liverpool Football Club has been such a huge part of all our lives for so long and saying goodbye is going to be difficult, but I feel it's something that's in the best interests of all involved, including my family and the club itself. "I'm going to carry on playing and although I can't confirm at this stage where that will be, I can say it will be somewhere that means I won't be playing for a competing club and will not therefore be lining up against Liverpool - that is something I could never contemplate. "My decision is completely based on my wish to experience something different in my career and life and I also want to make sure that I have no regrets when my playing career is eventually over. "I can't thank Brendan, the owners and everyone at the club enough for how they've handled this and I am leaving on great terms. Also, I would like to thank my teammates and all the staff for their help and continued support. "It is a very special place to be part of. It is my sincere hope and wish that one day I can return to serve Liverpool again, in whatever capacity best helps the club. "One point that is important to make is that from now until the last kick of the last game of the season, I will be as fully committed to the team as I ever have been and giving everything I have to help Liverpool win games. "My final message is for the people who make Liverpool Football Club the greatest in the world - the supporters. "It has been a privilege to represent you, as a player and as captain. I have cherished every second of it and it is my sincere wish to finish this season and my Liverpool career on a high."

Six Iranians arrested for appearing in a video singing along to the American pop song Happy have reportedly been handed suspended sentences of 91 lashes and six months in prison for obscene behaviour. Another defendant who faced "heavier charges" in relation to the video was handed a suspended sentence of one year in jail and 91 lashes by the authorities, the Iran Wire site quoted their lawyer Farshid Rofugaran as saying. He was quoted as saying the verdicts had not been officially communicated to him and so he could not be completely sure about the information he had gathered. The sentences are suspended for three years, meaning that if any of the seven is found guilty of a similar offence, the punishment would then be carried out, he said. Iran Wire is a news and features website run from outside the Islamic Republic. The defendants, four men and three women, were detained by police in May after six of them were shown lip synching to Pharrell Williams' hit song Happy. The women appearing in the clip were bare headed in violation of the Islamic dress code enforced after the 1979 Islamic revolution. The arrests in May drew condemnation from the singer and his fans through social media, as well as indirect criticism from moderate president Hassan Rouhani. "The way to deal with cultural issues is cultural work, not policemen and [detention] vans and strong-arm tactics," the president told a gathering of conservative clerics in the religious city of Mashhad earlier this month. SMHReally, I don't understand we Africans. What are we doing about the situation? No research from us. Oh, we should just sit down and wait for the white men to keep doing research for us and aiding us all the time? I really dont blame them at all. You should be grateful and thankful. |

The refrigerator is a household appliance that thanks to the ability to lower the temperature can keep food fresh and healthy. But not all foods are good and tasty if are kept in the refrigerator. Some of the foods lose their flavor and reduce durability. Here are 4 foods that shouldn’t be kept in the refrigerator… Potatoes The potato is the best when is kept in a dark and dry place, and should be kept in room temperature because low temperature destroys the flavor of the potato. Onions Onions should be stored at room temperature in a mesh bag. It is important to emphasize that we should not kept onions near potatoes because they emit gases and accelerates rotting. Garlic As well as onions and garlic should be stored at room temperature in a mesh bag. Tomatoes Almost always we keep tomato in the refrigerator, but it fades away and loses its flavor, so experts say that it’s best to keep in a plastic bag at room temperature. If you want tomatoes to mature keep it in a paper bag. |
1. Expect not your husband to give you as many luxuries as your father has given you after many years of hard labour (Phil. 4:11; Amos 4:1) 2. You shall work hard to build your house with the husband that you have, not fantasizing about "the one that could have been" (Prov. 14:1) 3. You shall not nag or continually complain (Prov. 27:15; 21:19). 4. You shall coddle your husband and be a warm wife (1 Cor. 7:3-5) 5. Years ago, I asked God to give me a spouse, “You don’t own because you didn’t ask” God said. Not only I asked for a spouse but also explained what kind of spouse I wanted. I want a nice, tender, forgiving, passionate, honest, peaceful, generous, understanding, pleasant, warm, intelligent, humorous, attentive, compassionate and truthful. I even mentioned the physical characteristics I dreamt about. As time went by I added the required list of my wanted spouse. One night, in my prayer, God talked to my heart: “My servant, I cannot give you what you want.” I asked, “Why God?” and God said “Because I am God and I am fair. God is the truth and all I do are true and right.” I asked “God, I don’t understand why I cannot have what I ask from you?” God answered, “I will explain. It is not fair and right for Me to fulfill your demand because I cannot give something that is not your ownself. It is not fair to give someone who is full of love to you if sometimes you are still hostile, or to give you someone generous but sometimes you can be cruel, or someone forgiving; however, you still hide revenge, someone sensitive;however, you are very insensitive….” He then said to me: “It is better for Me to give you someone who I know could grow to have all qualities you are searching rather than to make you waste your time to find someone who already have the qualities you want. Your spouse would be bone from your bone and flesh from your flesh and you will see yourself in her and both of you will be one. Marriage is like a school. It is a life-long span education. It is where you and your partner make adjustment and aim not merely to please each other, but to be better human beings and to make a solid teamwork. I do not give you a perfect partner, because you are not perfect either. I give you a partner with whom you would grow together” |

1. People who experience mature love don’t allow themselves to passively fall out of love. Instead, they take action. 2. Choosing to take your relationship to the next level doesn’t come easy. It requires you to behave in a way that is contrary to your feelings at times. It takes hard work, dedication and commitment. 3. Without the intense “in love” feelings, it’s not as easy to behave lovingly. However, mature love means that you’ll give to your spouse when you don’t feel like giving. 4. It means you can set your feelings aside to do what is best for the relationship. 5.People who experience mature love hug and kiss their partner regardless of whether or not it gives them butterflies in their stomach. 6. They set aside time for the spouse even when they’ve got a hundred and one other things they could be doing. 7. They are willing to set aside money to go on dates and to do the things they used to do when they were first falling in love, regardless of whether or not they feel like it. 8. They make a conscious decision every day to behave lovingly toward their spouse. 9. And they don’t keep score about who contributes the most to the relationship. 10. Instead, they give willingly without becoming resentful about what they are or aren’t getting back. 11. People who experience mature love don’t indulge themselves in thoughts that aren’t productive to the relationship. 12. They don’t focus on thinking about how difficult the marriage is, how their spouse isn’t the same person they married or how much better life would be if they were with someone else. 13. Instead, in mature love, people can think about the positive aspects of their relationship. 14. They focus on looking at what they can do to make their spouse’s day a little better. 15. They think about what they can contribute to the relationship. 16. They also stay focused on making the best of what they have. 17. They understand that this is the person they’ve chosen in life and that the relationship will be what they make of it. 18. They understand that grass isn’t greener on the other side and it is less about who you marry and more about how you love the person that you’re married to. |
We fail a few too many times and respond by giving-up. Unfortunately, if this is our response we are ensured defeat, because failure is going to happen. We are going to encounter obstacles and frankly we might be completely clueless about what we’re doing. At least in the beginning. As we progress we will learn, practice, and build commitment to our dreams. Obstacles won’t disappear, but you can prepare for them. You can prepare to surmount your obstacles. So, to help you prepare for barriers and blockages, here are six of the most important reasons people give up on goals… and what to do about them. 1. Lack of Ownership Ever had goals you simply didn’t care about? They were far and distant goals. Goals someone else placed in your control, but they weren’t your goals. Not if you had a choice at least. Think about it, how many of your goals feel more like obligations? These goals lack ownership and it is really difficult to stay motivated without a sense of purpose and meaning for what we’re doing. What to do about it: You must “buy in” to you goals and take ownership. This shifts the ownership and initiative to an internal point of reference. Then, effectiveness and mastery can come about. 2. Not willing to put in the time If you’re like me, you tend you think you can take on more than you have time for. It’s easy to underestimate the time it will take to complete certain tasks. This “optimism bias” is a habit that leads to giving-up. We end up getting overwhelmed and can’t dedicate the necessary time. What to do about it: It’s not that we need more time, but we need to use our time more effectively. Focus on the most important things first. Spend time on what will get you the most results. Drop the busy work. Keep focused on getting results instead of just completing tasks. 3. Not willing to do the hard work The path to our potential is never an easy one. The goals I am most proud of were the most challenging and arduous. Along with the factor of time, the optimism bias applies equally to difficulty. When something is more difficult than we expected it can be demotivating, but as the saying goes, “anything worth doing takes hard work.” What to do about it: Recognize that what we don’t already excel in will require hard work and practice. So, if something is harder than you expected, it is time to practice more than you expected. As you learn what you need to learn and develop the skills you need to develop, things will become easier. 4. ADHD (Just kidding, I mean Distractions) It seems like everyone has attention deficits these days. Think of all the content competing for our attention on a daily basis. We might be distracted by other people, television, the computer, or our phone. Not only are these external distractions an issue, but many people have numerous goals at a time competing for their time and energy. We can jump from one goal to another, never finding firm footing to move forward. What to do about it: For the most part we can avoid some distractions by unplugging and turning off the electronics. We can also make sure to find a place where you will be undisturbed. In general, stop multitasking, and only work on one thing at a time. You will end up being more efficient and effective because of this. 5. Insufficient reward Hey, where’s the big payoff? I thought that if I worked this hard and put in all this time that I would have more results! Disappointment sets in when achievement of a goal doesn’t translate into other goals or to the desired happiness. When we feel like we’re working hard for nothing it is easy to want to give-up. What to do about it: This is why setting small milestones along the way is so important. You won’t transform your life overnight. It is the same as weight lifting or exercising. We can’t expect to bench press 300 lbs without training. We have to set milestones along the way, and little by little we will see the rewards. What small progress can you reward yourself for? 6. Old habits die hard Sometimes getting started isn’t the hard part. The hard part is sticking with our new habit or lifestyle. Maintaining changed behavior is difficult, and there is always the pull of the old and the fear of the new. Old habits die hard if we aren’t prepared to keep up the changes. What to do about it: Focus on progress, not perfection. Give yourself a break and realize that you might fall back into old patterns. Personal change is a back and forth swing. We take two steps forward and one step back. The key is to keep the momentum in the forward direction. Next time you feel like giving up, consider these different ideas before you decide to surrender. Just like anything in life, if we want it bad enough we will put in the work, and practice, practice, practice. Success might be just around the corner, and all you need is just a little more motivation, practice, and persistence. |
This year brings the arrival of two new major games consoles; they are, of course, the Sony PS4 and the Microsoft Xbox One. You probably want to know how they compare so read this Xbox One vs PS4 comparison review and you'll find out. It been a long wait but we now have full details for both the PS4 and Xbox One. Now we've got information on pricing, specs, pictures, controllers and features, here's our comparison of the two big guns. PS4 vs Xbox One: Price As usual, price is an important area and Microsoft and Sony have announced different prices for their rival consoles. The PS4 is the cheaper at $400 and the Xbox One costs $100 more at $500. It's worth pointing out that the Xbox One price includes the new Kinect sensor but the PS4 price does not include the PlayStation Camera. Add the price on and the PS4 adds up to $450. PS4 vs Xbox One: Specs The two consoles are similar in their hardware specifications, especially when it comes to the CPU and GPU which we'll tackle first. Processor and graphics AMD is the chip maker of choice for the PS4 and Xbox One. Each uses a SoC (System on a chip) which combines the CPU and GPU. The processor is an x86 64-bit chip with 8 'Jaguar' cores and an estimated clock speed of 1.6GHz. On the surface, it appears as if the PS4 and Xbox One have the same AMD Radeon GPU. However, the PS4's is more powerful with 1152 cores compared to the Xbox One's 768 – 50 percent more, according to Anandtech. It also has a higher peak shader throughput of 1.84 TFLOPS against 1.23 TFLOPS of the Xbox One – although this is less important. Whether these differences will be noticeable when then console is hooked up to your TV in your lounge is another question, but on paper the PS4 is the more impressive. RAM and storage Both systems have 8GB of RAM inside but Sony wins marginally in this area using faster GDDR5 memory compared to GDDR3 offered by the Xbox One. Luckily for the Xbox One, it has 32MB of eSRAM embedded memory expected to be used by developers as a cache. Microsoft says the combination of the CPU, GPU and eSRAM is like 'having a supercomputer in your living room'. It's a tie when it comes to storage because both have a 500GB hard drive. The amount available to the user will be less because some of the space will be used for the system software. Optical drive It's another tie when it comes to the optical drive since both Xbox One and PS4 have a Blu-ray/DVD drive as standard. Connectivity Things are once again pretty similar when it comes to connectivity with the PS4 and Xbox One offering Wi-Fi, Ethernet, optical out and USB 3.0. If it bothers you, the PS4 has Bluetooth 2.1 which the Xbox One does not. As you would expect there is HDMI on each console and they both support 4K output, but the Xbox One also has an HDMI in port for throughput. PS4 vs Xbox One: Controllers The Xbox controller remains largely the same as previous generations. It has a number of changes but they are subtle such as the redesigned D-pad and thumb stick. The main new feature is the new Impulse Triggers for better feedback. The PS4 DualShock 4 controller is quite different to the PS3's. It has a trackpad in the middle and integrated 'Move' motion control. PS4 vs Xbox One: Features There are plenty of features which these consoles offer; they are more all-round entertainment devices now than just devices for playing games. We're going to stick to pointing out two of the key differences about which you need to know. 'Always online' has been a major subject around the PS4 and Xbox One leading up to the launches and it's the Xbox One that requires an internet connection for you to be able to play – although it needs only to validate every 24 hours which isn't half as bad as requiring a constant connection. A second issue is being able to use second hand (pre-owned) games. Again the PS4 is the console with no restriction. However, it's a different story for Microsoft's console. Xbox One users can lend games to friends who they have had on their Xbox Live list for at least 30 days but you can only lend them once. Microsoft said: "Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games."

Google has been known to treat their employees really well. They treat them to free food, fitness classes, laundry services, and car washes. Now, they’ve pulled out the big guns. They’re offering their employee spouses 10 years of half pay when their Google working spouse dies. There’s no tenure requirement needed to receive the benefits either. Right now, only U.S. employees are covered by the policy at this point in time, though. The surviving spouse or partner of a deceased employee will also acquire vested stock benefits, and children will receive $1,000 a month until the age of 19. The timeline can be extended if the child is in school full time. Google said it is taking this approach because it is the right thing to do, ensuring that each employee's family is taken care of if an unforeseeable event were to occur — even if there is no direct benefit to the business. Although it might attract more candidates to apply for a position, Google said that is not the reason why it implemented the benefits — more potential hires would just be a side effect. |
The toilet seat has acquired an unfair reputation as the dirtiest item in the average household. But scientists say there are far filthier places in our house, some of them where we least expect. 1) Kitchen Sink - Most think otherwise, but the kitchen might be the dirtiest place in your home. There are typically 500,000 bacteria per square inch in the sink drain alone. 2) Light Switch - Over the years your dirty hands contribute to 217 bacteria per square inch. 3) Door Knobs - As mentioned before, the hands are one of the dirtiest parts of the human body. Touching door knobs, which are also rarely every cleaned, transfers the germs and bacteria from everyone else who has touched that knob to your hand. 4) Computer Keyboard - Be sure to spray your keyboard with compressed air and wipe clean with a cloth and mild detergent. In a random study of 33 keyboards, four were health hazards. 5) Money - The Health Commissioner for New York found 135,000 bacteria from washing one bill and 126,000 from another. Make sure to thoroughly wash your hands any time you handle money directly. 6) Kitchen Sponge - The crevices in sponges make it difficult to disinfect and users are generally just transferring bacteria from one place to another. An easy remedy is to microwave the sponge for approximate 60 seconds, and it will improve odor too! 7) Refrigerator Handle - Since nobody ever cleans fridge handles the bacteria stays and has a lot of time to multiple and grow. 8.) Mobile phone - It is so widely used that it contains more than 18 times the harmful germs that your toilet flush handle. This is available for your house telephone too. You should clean and disinfect it often using antibacterial tissues. 9) TV Remote - Add to that the SARS, MRSA and VRE bacteria that is easily transferable by touching TV remotes. Hotels are notorious for this, so be sure to wrap it in plastic during your next stay. |
Dear Bayern Munich board I see again from the news today that your blatant carefully veiled attempts to unsettle Luis Suarez have led to him mentioning he might be interested in leaving Liverpool and pitching up in Bavaria. Let me stop you there. You might think you need Luis, but in the grand scheme of things you really, really, don’t. The last time I looked you were 300 points clear at the top of The Bundesliga, had whipped Arsenal in the Champions League without breaking sweat and look set to sweep Europe before you with a Teutonic efficiency not seen since, well, let’s not bring that up, shall we. Good luck to you, really, anything that stops Manchester United adding to their three European Cups even if it means you joining us on 5, is fine. But you don’t need Suarez, you might want him, that I understand, but you don’t need him. That’s just greedy. But we need him, I mean really, really need him, would you really leave us with only Daniel Sturridge and his wriggly arm dance up front? Leave us with the prospect of Downing starting another season as first choice? And you, Pep, you’re meant to be a good guy, one of the ones who can be trusted. But there you sit in New York with your kids, planning the destruction of Liverpool while moseying up the Statue of P*ssing Liberty, knowing full well that you can’t get Messi and deciding that Ribery, Robben, Muller, Gomez and the 16 other forwards who allow Bayern to butt pump the rest of the Bundesliga every week aren’t enough. You want Luis to play as a false nine, the cherry on the easiest cake you’ll ever bake, taking over a team so dominant they’ve made Dortmund look like the Dog and Duck. And for what? Two seasons, tops, while you plan your complete and total reinvention of Manchester United as bacon face drinks gambols like a lamb towards retirement. What’s your plan, Pep, to take him with you to United? Not gonna work pal, they hate him, detest him. But it’s ok for you in your Yankees hat and your cream bloody chinos isn’t it, dreaming of our Luis while you stuff your face with an ice cream the size of Gerard Pique’s bell-end. And what’s worse is that Messi, your hormone grown love-child might, just might, be ready to leave Barca by then, so not only will you have left us tattered, left us with £40 million for Brenno to spend on Matalan coats and skilful midgets with the physical presence of one-ply bog roll, but you’ll make them the best team in the world. And for that, I’ll hate you. |
Dolphins can see inside us just like ultrasounds, basically, and they have the ability to tell if a woman is pregnant. Dolphins are just as excited about new life as much as new ones love dolphins. Most facilities won't allow swimming with dolphins while pregnant (even though this seems like the most perfect time to swim with dolphins), because they fear the dolphins will get too excited and scare the new moms to be and any resulting lawsuits. In commercial "swim with dolphin" programs, pregnant ladies are often excluded from the swims because the dolphins often concentrate their attention exclusively on her to the exclusion of the other guests. Their powerful sonar can penetrate up to three feet through sand and mud with resolution significant enough to distinguish between a dime and a penny. Due to this power, scientists believe that dolphins can view the inside of our bodies similar to a sonogram performed on pregnant women. Indeed, dolphins are fascinated with pregnant women, honing in on the unborn fetus. Furthermore, they often focus on individuals’ specific areas of impairment, as well as places containing tumors. Many times people who swim with the dolphins can feel himself being scanned. As if bypassing the ears, the sound resonates in the bones, traveling up the spine. Furthermore, this blast is delivered through water, which is 60 times more efficient than air for sound transference, to a body that is three-quarters fluid. It is believed that ultrasound resonance within the cerebrospinal fluid is especially important due to the fluid’s key influence on the brain and spinal cord.
