Manchester United: Adidas admit concerns over Van Gaal's style of football
Adidas chief Herbert Hainer has suggested Louis van Gaal’s style of football is marring the commercial success of the sportswear giant’s deal with Manchester United.

In an interview with German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, Adidas chief executive Hainer revealed the company has been delighted with the results of the tie-up.

But he admitted Van Gaal’s style of football - branded ‘boring’ by former midfielder Paul Scholes as United have struggled for goals this season - is a concern.

Hainer said: “This success confirms again that Manchester United is not just a football club.

“With more than 650 million fans globally it is one of the world’s most supported sports clubs.

“This special club has not only a rich history but also a reputation for success. Business with Manchester United is going very well, we have sold more shirts than expected.

“We are satisfied, even if the current playing style is not exactly what we want to see."

1. Our transition of the the ball is too slow. Before we get to final third, our opponents would already have regrouped. We need a forward moving player like Sanchez.

2. Our defence. We need to add at least one more defender. May be we should have left Evans as a squad.

3. Scoring.

You right, but we also need an upgrade on valencia, we need a winger who can outpace his marker and cross the ball and can also cut in and strike, sadio mane is that guy, not only does he have pace and power, he can also score.... we can make do with Tadic too but mahrez? he's good no doubt but he lacks that power we require on the left wing, that's why I miss valencia
