Its too early in the season to start lamenting but it seems like Ole is hell bent on making us start early.

Bringing in Mata was a waste of sub. The guy cannot even make a simple pass. I'd rather have Mason, Young, before him and James.

AWB needs to work on his offense.

We played better than last season. Didn't take our chances.

Last season, apart from the fact that we concede bucket loads of goals (which hopefully has been fixed by Maguire and AWB), we struggle to score goals and our midfield always crumble whenever we come under any small pressure.

Now we have lost Herrera and Lukaku is gone almost which basically means we are even worse off than we were last season in midfield and attacking wise.

Yes, OGS is a Yes man because I cannot see how he will look at that midfield and say he’s happy with what he has. Regardless of the tactics, if the players are not good enough, they are not good enough. I’m not one for blind optimism.

Add Matic to the list of players lost. So we're actually replacing Herrera and Matic with Tom and Fred inaddition to a more lackadaisical Pogba. Herrera is obviously better than the last two players.

While we can manage Tom to replace Herrera, we need mostly a replacement for Matic; someone at the base of the MF/holding MF.

I wouldn't blame Ole. I'm sure he has his lists of players but the signing ain't working out.
