The reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1 ,14; Col. 2:9), and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins. All people have sinned against God. But, God is infinitely holy and righteous. He must punish the sinner, the Law- breaker. If He didn't, then His law is not Law, for there is no law that is a law without a punishment. The punishment for breaking the Law is death--separation from God. Therefore, we sinners need a way to escape the righteous judgment of God. Since we are stained by sin and cannot keep the Law of God, then the only one who could do what we cannot is God Himself. That is why Jesus is God in flesh. He is both divine and human. He was made under the Law (Gal. 4:4), and He fulfilled it perfectly. Therefore, His sacrifice to God the Father on our behalf is of infinite value and is sufficient to cleanse all people from their sins and undo the offense to God. The following outline is an attempt to break this down, step-by-step, using scripture and logic. I hope that it helps you understand why God is our savior and not some created thing. Also, I hope that it helps you understand that you must trust in Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sins; that you can do nothing on your own to merit salvation from |
Do I Need To Go To Church To Go to Heaven? First, salvation isn’t something we earn by WORKS. You can ever “work” or do enough “good deeds” to get to heaven. Christ did the work on the cross. You, as a sinner, can never do enough good “deeds” or “acts of obedience” to earn your salvation. It will never happen. Rather, we are saved by God’s grace when we place our faith in Jesus Christ. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) So no, you will not lose your salvation by avoiding church, and you cannot earn your salvation by attending church. I like what one person said: “Going to church won’t make you a Christian any more that being in a garage makes you a car.” Salvation occurs when you place your total trust and faith in Christ. It doesn’t happen when you recite a prayer, walk down a church isle with tears down your face, or saying a pray when an invitation is given. Salvation occurs when you place your trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing more, nothing less. When you truly place your faith in trust in Christ, you will be born again, and the Holy Spirit will begin to dwell in your body. He will lead you to truth, teach you obedience, rebuke and cleanse you from sin, give you spiritual gifts, and so forth. |
Pray for those who are homeless. and people who need help all over the world...(like Syria etc) pray for missionaries and God's people. thank you |
Jesus can be both God and the son of God because the terms don't mean the same thing. When we say that Jesus is God (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1: , we are saying that Jesus possesses the divine nature (as well as a human nature, see hypostatic union). But the term "Son of God" does not mean that Jesus is not God. Think about it. If the term "Son of God" meant that Jesus is not God, then does the term "Son of Man" mean that Jesus is not a man? Of course not. Likewise, if the term "Son of Man" means that Jesus is a man, then does it not imply that when it says Jesus is the "Son of God" that he is God? We ought not look at the ancient words found in Scripture and judge them by modern thinking."For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God," (John 5:18). As you can see in this verse, Jesus was calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God. Therefore, the term Son of God is a designation of the equality with God when it is a reference to Christ. Jesus is the Son of God The phrase "Son of God" occurs 44 times in the New American Standard Bible. Each time it is used of Christ. It is a title of his preeminence, holiness, and relationship to God the Father. In fact, we see that the Pharisees wanted to kill him for proclaiming he was the son of God “I and the Father are one.” 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.” 34 Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS’? 35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?" (John 10:30-36). In this account we see the second instance of Jesus being threatened with stoning. The first one is a little earlier. "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.' 59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple," (John 8:58-59). Jesus' words here are significant because he says he is the "I am." This is similar to what is found in Exodus. God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations," (Exodus 3:14-15). When we combine all of this together we see that Jesus was claiming the divine title for himself (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14-15) and that is why the Jews wanted to kill him (John 8:59 and John 10:31). The explanation given is that Jesus was claiming equality with God by claiming that he was the Son of God. So, when we say that Jesus is God we are saying that he is divine by nature. He is, after all, the second person of the Trinity. But when we say that Jesus is the Son of God, we are saying that he is also God since that is what the phrase means. |
oh my god. pls my sis and bro above you guys ruin this. stop it..OH My LORD help this people. |

Leave your comfort zone. "I'll will...make the rough places smooth" (Isaiah 42;16) Observe: (1) It's never easy to leave your comfort zone. Moses probably didn't relish leaving the luxury of Pharaoh's palace or the security of his new family in Mindan. Yet if he hadn't, he'd have failed to fulfill God's call. Just because you don't feel like doing something doesn't mean you shouldn't. The greater assignment, the greater the sacrifice (2) Real growth begins once you leave your comfort zone. For forty years Moses benefited from everything Egypt had to offer. But only after he left Egypt for the first time did he begin to learn what was really important : namely, God's purposes. It took another forty years in the desert to discover how God intended to use him_and by then he'd been humbled and made over. The bottom line is: before you can go _ you have to grow up! (3) Staying in your comfort zone will rob you of your greatest moment and memories. Your life story is written in risks- those you took and those you avoided. Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed about the risks you didn't take than the one you did. The way to pre-empt tomorrow's regret is by moving forward today into the 'faith zone'. You say " But there's so much I don't know or understand " That may be true, but here's the promise you can stand on "i will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them ....turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These ... things I will do; I will not forsake them' (Isaiah 42:16 NIV) What more assurance do you need? SoulFood: 1Pet 1-5, Matt 10:32-42, Ps 18;1-29, Peo 12:23-24. Read through it and try to devote yourself to God. Ask him to tell you his plan for your life. Ask him right now don't wait for tomorrow because tomorrow might never come. He's still waiting for you. Or maybe he knock on you door. let Him in your house (heart) I pray God to let you fell this message. GOD BLESS YOU ALL NAIRALANDER EVEN THOUGH IM NOT FROM YOUR COUNTRY BUT GOD LEAD ME HERE TO DELIVER HIS MESSAGE. Bless all your heart... |
