Anyway, Rashidi Yekini was a Yoruba man. His goal record is yet to be met by any super eagles player. Don't forget he was also the first man to register a goal for Nigeria at the world cup. Trust me, no man from your village can ever beat that record.

Lol! In other words, there was this Biafra even before the British came, right? This is laughable. Do you even know that the real Ibos were actually a minority even in the old Eastern Region? The truth is that many of you today’s so-called Ibos know nothing about your true history. And for a certain reason, I don’t blame you.

You see, many of the people in today’s Southeast whom you assume are Ibos are not actually Ibos originally. You might not even be an Ibo, as a matter of fact, but you’ll never know! If I may ask, why are you proud to be an Ibo? Trust me, if I share some historical documents and records with you, you’ll definitely have second thoughts. That’s just by the way, anyway.

The truth is that before the generalization of the Ibos identity over all Easterners for administrative convenience, the concentration of what are today known as Ibos were the people of Awka in Anambra down to the hinterlands of Imo towards the Imo River. These were the Isu people, the same people the inhabitants of Anioma region referred to as the Ibos, while the Ikwerre and Ijaw people called them Isuoma, and these descriptors were used as a slur against them.

Abia was primarily made up of the Akwa-Cross people. From Aro to Old Bende to Ohafia, Umuahia were all of Ibibio descent. For your education, the current governor of Abia state, Alex Otti, is originally not an Ibo man. He is an Aro— ancestrally an Ibibio man.

The people of Enugu are largely of Igala heritage and Jukuns.

Ebonyi people are of Igala ancestry and the Orings.

The other parts of Anambra, from Nri to Agwukwu to Onitsha, and other riverine areas of Anam and Co. are all of Igala and Edo ancestry.

Some parts of Imo are also of Aniocha heritage, including the Ogute people. The Egbema people of Imo are of Ikwerre heritage.

So, it is very clear that the Ibos as we know them today are just a British contraption. The only reason some of these non-original Ibo groups, who now identify as Ibos, is simply due to a lack of knowledge of their noble heritage and because Ibos fraudulently identify as the third-largest ethnic group in Nigeria.

Guy, you might want to check your true ancestral lineage. And if you're a real Ibo man, are proud of your heritage? This is because........some things are better left unsaid.

What is happening in Northern Nigeria today that we all call insecurity or terrorism is a nature's reward for their decades of religious intolerance and extremism that led to the extermination of many none Northerners in very disheartening ways, today they are paying for those things they did thinking they were protecting their religion and it's doctrines.


Your grandfathers understood this and followed life with wisdom and caution for decades which gave you the peaceful, stable Yoruba land you are enjoying today but Bola Tinubu in his selfish desire to grab power and hold it perpetually for himself and family decided to lead you Yorubas of today astray and you guys are doing it with so much pride and arrogance that nothing will happen cos u guys have figured out life for the next thousand years and life is gonna be cool for you and your kins even as you guys blatantly go against laws of nature and you think all will be well? They were not only wise but also very courageous. They left such an enviable heritage that is today a global phenomenon. This is why Yoruba culture and heritage—language, religion, music, food, art, etc.—are accepted and celebrated all over the world.

The question you all need to ask yourselves is: what were your own progenitors involved in while ours were expanding their territories—from Nigeria to Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, etc.—rolling up their sleeves to ensure that they bequeathed a worthy heritage to us, their offspring?

Man, if you look backward, I mean if you read your 'history,' you'll know exactly why you are where you are today. It all started with how your grandfathers handled their business—so unfortunate. Hating on the Yoruba won't solve your problems; trust me, Chinedu.

The truth is that the Yorubas and Binis are two different people— they are not related. The only connection between the two is the Oba of Benin. It is a verifiable fact, an established account, that the first Oba of Benin, Eweka 1, was a Yoruba man. He was a direct son of Oranmiyan, an Ile Ife prince who ruled over Igodomigodo, an ancient Binis enclave. This is a fact, and any other account is nothing but mere fabrication. The Bini royalty is of Yoruba descent.

The propagation of false historical timelines targets unsuspecting Yoruba people to erode their cultural confidence and heritage. True history does not shift with political trends or invented tribal rivalries. Standing firm on verified primary sources ensures that the authentic legacy of the ancestors remains fully preserved for future generations.

If you listen to the Oba of Benin's ancestral praises, you will hear, very clearly, his connection to Ile-Ife (Uhe) and Olofin— Oduduwa. Oduduwa was the father of Oranmiyan. It may interest you to know that this same Oranmiyan was the first King of Oyo.

The itsekiris has always claimed to be a proud sub group of the yorubas but I get confused when they still claim that their first king that founded the itshekiri kingdom was a bini prince that left the bini kingdom in the 15th century.

Bini royalty is of Yoruba descent and that is the truth. Read up and eliminate your confusion. I won't even argue that fact with anyone because it's an established fact. If the Itshekiris are always proud of their Yoruba root, and there are verifiable facts establishing the Bini royalty has of Yoruba descent, why should anything confuse you again?

We have always known that the braggarts are mere traders with nothing but mouths.

I am a proud Igbo entrepreneur and small company owner and I am a graduate, a postgraduate and also a PhD inview student so when it comes to education, you are far below me. I have also acquired various short business trainings and courses and will be starting an MBA program with a specialization in global trade and economics by 2028 God willing. I have done a lot of short courses on business management, sales and marketing, including digital marketing.


And it's not only me, most other Igbo business associates I know are all graduates and some already have masters even from foreign universities. Gone are the days you can brag that it's only Yorubas that went to school, maybe in the 1950s, not anymore cos we Igbos now make it a top priority to acquire graduate education even if we want to major on business and trading. So when you see some of the traders in the market, don't go thinking they are all uneducated like you guys usually assume, it's no longer so today, thank you for your attention to this matter

It's such a pity you can't see that the so-called education you and your fellow Igbo traders claim to have is not reflecting in your conduct.
