I bought it at N1,300.00 per litre today in Ibadan on my way to Akure. The one I had in my tank before I got to ibadan,which I bought here in Lagos last week,was N1,100.00 per litre. Where are we going in this country for God's sake! It's indeed a pity that Nigerians are too docile;too fearful bunch of cowards! If not, the masses are by now supposed to have shut down the country in protest!

This imbalanced arrangement is not sustainable; everyone must consume what they produce—regionalism! This will foster healthy competition among the regions for the overall development of Nigeria.

This is because companies remit VAT using the location of their headquarters and tax office and not where the services and goods are consumed.

Is the above their "valid point" ? That's laughable,you know ? So Northerners are consuming alcohol and that's why they are taking the largest share from its revenue,right ? How on earth would any company site its headquarters in a location where it is recording low sales and patronage ? The truth is that Southerners have stronger purchasing powers and that's why about 75% of IGR comes from the South.

It is only the northern elites - politicians, traditional rulers, military and security chiefs - ex and serving-, business men (with privileged backgrounds),and few others that are rich;the vast majority of northerners are extremely poor!

Let's face it; the Northerners only want the loopsided arrangement of reaping where they did not sow to continue! They enjoy destroying alcohols -bottles and contents- in the north but these same northerners take the largest shares from its sales revenue! No be hypocrisy and greed be that ?
