Sports / Great News For Chelsea Ahead Of Saturday's Crystal Palace Clash by christogb(m): 7:53pm On Mar 07, 2018
Chelsea injury news: N’Golo Kante given all- clear to make Chelsea return

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante missed Sunday’s 1-0 defeat against Manchester City and it is fair to say that his trademark energy was sorely missed. The Blues and their under-pressure manager Antonio Conte have attracted no shortage of criticism for their performance at the Etihad Stadium.

Many Chelsea players were walking and not sprinting to put pressure on their hosts and a lack of ambition in both their formation and build-up play has also come under fire.

It is tough to imagine Kante would have been content to amble around in such a low-intensity approach, which saw central midfield duo Cesc Fabregas and Danny Drinkwater fail to lay a glove on their opponents.

The French international was ruled out of the City game after fainting in training but Sky Sports report that he has come through extensive tests with flying colours and has been passed fit to make his return to first team action.

That means he is in contention to face struggling Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge and given the timid performance of Drinkwater in particular, he is likely to come straight back into the starting eleven right away.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Chelsea Vs Newcastle United - (3 - 1) On 2nd December 2017 by christogb(m): 7:44pm On Nov 30, 2017
A look ahead to Saturday's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge this Saturday following their narrow win over Swansea on Wednesday night.

The Blues face a side that has not won in their last five games, though Newcastle’s comeback against West Brom will provide fans with some cause for optimism.

Chelsea, on the other hand, will be aiming to build upon their 1-0 win over Swansea and build up some momentum for what looks to be a busy December schedule.

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 01.30pm (WAT) on Saturday 2 December at Stamford Bridge.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports Premier League. Coverage starts at 11.30am.

It’s a big game for…

Rafa Benitez. That Newcastle have won just one game from their last nine fixtures makes for a worrying read. Nonetheless, the spirit showed by the Magpies on Tuesday night suggests Benitez still has his players all pulling in the same direction – despite the nature of some results. Even a point against Chelsea on Saturday would be considered a positive outcome for Newcastle – anything else, though, would simply add to the concern at St James’ Park.

Remember when…

Chelsea stormed past Newcastle to send Steve McClaren’s side into the relegation zone in February 2016? The hosts romped to a 5-1 victory at the Bridge, with Pedro notably grabbing a brace.

Eden Hazard. The Belgian was rested for the Swansea game but is likely to return for Saturday’s clash against Newcastle. When on form, Hazard looks unstoppable and brings a real energy to this Chelsea side that, on occasion, goes missing in his absence. With the Magpies struggling to keep clean sheets at the moment, the 26-year-old will be relishing Saturday’s game.

Head to head…

Chelsea 5 Newcastle United 1 , Premier League, February 2016.

Chelsea 2 Newcastle United 0 , Premier League, January 2015.

Form guide…

Chelsea: WDWWWL

Newcastle: DLLLLW

Odds…

Chelsea to win: 1/5

Newcastle United: 14/1

Sports / 3-4-3: Chelsea’s Strongest Possible XI Vs West Brom by christogb(m): 3:23am On Nov 15, 2017
Chelsea bounced back from their defeat against Roma in the CL to beat Manchester United in the PL. Next up, the Blues will collide against West Brom away from home when the Premier League returns after the international break.

As far as Conte’s team news is concerned, French international Tiemoue Bakayoko is the latest injury concern for the Italian boss after the defensive midfielder pulled up in training.

In such a scenario, we can expect the likes of Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante to start in the center of the park for the Stamford Bridge club.

David Luiz was kicked out of the squad against the Red Devils due to poor form and we can expect the Brazilian to be out for the game vs Albions as well.

Christensen, Cahill and Azpilicueta should start in the back line in front of Belgian goalie Courtois. Here is Chelsea’s strongest possible 3-4-3 XI vs West Brom.

Sports / Chelsea Considering Sending Charly Musonda On Loan After Instagram Controversy by christogb(m): 7:44am On Oct 13, 2017
CHELSEA are prepared to send Charly Musonda on loan after his controversial social media post earlier in the week.

Charly Musonda appeared to criticise Chelsea on Instagram earlier this week

The youngster has been at Chelsea since 2012 but only made his senior team debut earlier this year against Nottingham Forest.

Musonda appeared to lambaste the club's youth policy and his lack of first team minutes this season in an Instagram on Monday.
In the cryptic post, he wrote: "You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what's expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should.

"And what do you get back? Literally nothing... done.

"However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game."

"However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game."

And according to the Evening Standard , the Blues are now prepared to loan out the 20- year-old to aid his development.

Antonio Conte wanted to send the academy graduate out on loan in the summer, but he insisted on staying to fight for a place.

Andreas Christensen, who blossomed while on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, is viewed as the perfect example of how the youngster can improve while playing elsewhere.

Musonda was sent on loan to Real Betis in January of the 2015-16 season and was then supposed to play the whole of the last campaign there.

However, the deal was cut short after only 24 appearances.

Musonda is likely to feature in Chelsea's fourth round Carabao Cup tie against Everton last month.

Victor Moses was given birth to in Nigeria on December 12, 1990. He was from a quite poor family, his father a Christian pastor in Nigeria with his mother helping him,the conflict between Christian's and Muslim's had a bad result. when he was just 11 years of age,he learned that after an attack at his home, both of his parent were killed. At that time, Victor was playing football at the streets, where he learned the tragic news. Apart from the shock, he was notified that he was to be the next target, so his friends smuggled him to a hiding place in order to calm the situation. Somewhere in there, he found the solution: to emigrate and seek for asylum in England. A family from South London accepted the responsibility to take care of him. Sports / Re: This Chelsea Legend Is The Best In Football History by christogb(m): 5:58pm On Apr 18, 2017
christogb:
FRANK LAMPARD has hailed John Terry as the “greatest defender in Premier League history and the world football” following news that he will leave Chelsea at the end of the season.

Terry, 36, will end a 22-year association with Chelsea when his contract expires, having won 14 major honours at Stamford Bridge since making his first-team debut in 1998.

Most of that silverware was won alongside his “great friend”
Lampard, who did not understate Terry’s contribution to the Blues.

The former England midfielder said on his Instagram page:
“The last man standing of an incredible era for Chelsea.

“What a pleasure to play with the greatest defender in the Premier League history.

“In fact, I’d put him up with any defender in world football of any era.

He led the club both on and off the pitch from the moment he made his debut.

“He set standards for everyone, whether it was demanding excellence in training, fighting for every win or respecting how fortunate we were to play for such a great club.

“He was, and is, a legend, not just for his talent but just as much for his desire to get the best out of himself and others around him.

That’s what made him the most successful captain in the club’s history.

“Off the pitch a great friend to not just me but so many at the club and outside of it.

The countless things I’ve seen JT do to help people outside of the game, things that not many see, are what defines him as a man.

“John Terry you deserve every accolade you get over the next weeks and beyond and I hope you get what you deserve and lift two massive trophies at the end of the season (just to add to the tally).

“Whatever you do next I know everyone will respect your decision and I know that Chelsea will always be your club.

Absolute respect.”

Diego Costa insists he is “very happy” at Chelsea but seems suggest that he has still not settled in London. The Spanish international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge throughout his three years at the club and was the subject of an £80million offer from Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian in January. Costa’s form has dramatically declined since Chelsea blocked that move to China – he has scored just three Premier League goals since January 22 – and speculation that 28- year-old could depart in the summer has not died down. Those rumours will likely not ease after Costa’s comments after Saturday’s 3-1 win at Bournemouth, where he appeared to hint at being unsettled in the capital even during a season in which he has been a crucial part of Chelsea’s title challenge. “I have another two years on my contract.
