Hey mr man dont you worry yourself because that sim card will never work as a modem. My advice for u is that if you have an android device, just turn on the wi-fi or wlan hotspot and password it. Then switch on the wi-fi on ur laptop, connect with the android hotspot, input the password and off you go. And if u are using a windows lumia like myself, just put on your internet sharing and connect with your pc.
NB; You must have a considerable data plan.
